COUNT ON THIS

At USC Annenberg, you will build a broad base of knowledge and sharpen the skills that make you an exceptional communicator, content creator and critical thinker. You will see connections among complex ideas and engage in high-impact learning opportunities. You will learn and grow at the dynamic intersection of communication, journalism and public relations. USC Annenberg prepares the next generation of scholars and practitioners to shape and lead the future.

USC Annenberg is a leading institution that offers undergraduate majors in communication, journalism and public relations in one school. This provides a common and unifying base of knowledge to all students.

Under One Roof Communication. Journalism. Public Relations.

A FORWARD-LOOKING CURRICULUM Covering topics that range from crisis communication to virtual reality journalism to media literacy, USC Annenberg’s broad course offerings expose students to the big ideas and technologies needed to tell today’s most compelling stories.

THOUGHT LEADERS USC Annenberg’s 20 centers for research create a forum for convening conversations of global and local importance. Led by the top minds in our disciplines, these centers advance our mission “to be of service to all people” by offering research-based solutions to critical issues — such as how to tackle inequality through diversity and inclusion in entertainment.

At USC Annenberg, you will be prepared for flexibility and success.

COMMUNICATION Learning from leading scholars, you will gain a theoretical framework for how messages are shaped — from the interpersonal to mass media.

Our “The Changing World of Communication and Journalism” course explores what it means to be a professional in the fields of communication, journalism and public relations.

JOURNALISM Guided by the professional and ethical standards of journalism, you’ll investigate, write and produce news stories across a variety of media platforms.

Drawing on prominent scholars and practitioners, our speaker series present USC Annenberg students with the opportunity to engage with experts and ideas beyond their area of study.

PUBLIC RELATIONS From developing brand messages to establishing a content strategy to implementing social media campaigns, you will learn how to advocate on behalf of a person, brand or organization.

The Digital Lounge eases collaboration across disciplines by creating shared technology proficiency through training and certification.

FACES OF THE FUTURE You’ll learn in the dynamic and diverse USC Annenberg community — alongside students and faculty who bring ideas, stories and experiences from across the world.
