Student life at Utah State [1] is defined by traditions, events, and involvement. Whether you’re becoming a True Aggie, [2] attending the HOWL, [3] or going shoeless with Aggies for Africa, [4] the activities outside of the classroom will help define your college experience. Contents [hide] 1 Traditions 2 Events 3 Involvement

Traditions The “A” (pron. /e/) is the location where students participate in the long-standing True Aggie tradition. Aggie Ice Cream (pron. /ˈægi aɪs krim/), made on campus, has been a USU rite of passage since 1921.

Traditions cont...

Involvement / ASUSU

Old Main (pron. /oʊld meɪn/) was built in 1890 and is USU’s most iconic building. On nights of Aggie victory, Old Main’s tower shines blue.

Student Government, Clubs, Service Center, Greek Life, Aggie BLUE The Student Involvement & Leadership Center is the hub for extracurricular opportunities at Utah State.

Big Blue (pron. /bɪg blu/) is Utah State’s official mascot; look for him on the side lines or rappelling from the jumbotron.

[5] Mardi Gras (pron. /ˈmɑrdi ˈgrɑ/) continues as the university’s largest winter celebration. Concerts (pron. /k ɒ ns ɜ rts/) are major components to events like the “End of Year Bash” and “Week of Welcome,” which have included performances by Sean Kingston and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Includes Huntsman Scholars, and College Democrats or Republicans. Includes Aggie Radio, USU Art Guild, Independent Music, and Theatre.

Includes bowling, hockey, racquetball, and cycling.

Includes Anthropology, Black Student Union, and Middle East Club.
