EDITOR’S NOTE
The last several months of my own marriage have been filled with
adventures and opportunities to fall in love all over again. After 18 years of marriage this has been a sweet reunion of sorts. One such
adventure and weekend was spent up north in the Bear Lake region at Conestoga Ranch where glamping found us hardly leaving our tent! I knew that our fall/winter editorial shoot needed to also be at
Conestoga and this feature will not disappoint! Intimate to say the least, a look at what a honeymoon looks like in their allocated
honeymoon tent between two real life lovers and their intimate nuptials and celebrator y dinner will have you smitten as well!
We have a unique feature this issue, Nailed It, a look at the options in nail art for your big day! As well as a return to bridesmaid fashion to consider, it pairs nicely with our bridal fashion in this issue. We also
have two pretty weddings to share and three winter bouquets that will charm your floral envy.
We appreciate your readership + attention to all things wedding in Utah ever y season! Enjoy -

A trauma surgeon and a gorgeous
professional volleyball player fall in love and say “I Do after years of
individually perfecting the craft of
dating. Both Utah transplants out of Louisiana, these two opted for a destination wedding for a small
collection of family + friends in the
mountains of Heber at a private home
used as a vacation rental. They blended the elegant nature of a wedding with
the rustic nature of their venue and the surrounding mountains.

Jasmine always wanted a summer
wedding but when she realized this
would mean her brother ser ving an LDS mission would not be able to attend she postponed her big day, with no regrets! This couple wanted a classic feel with
a little bit of mood and they created it
quite well, housed at the Joseph Smith
Memorial Building, just a small walking distance from the SLC temple, it boasts a dark classical era feeling. Lit candles + dim lighting were a must to create
just the right kind of mood and are our favorites on winter wedding days too!

TENTED LOVE
WE HAVE BECOME EN-
CHANTED BY ELOPEMENTS THIS YEAR , and that was fore-
front in mind when considering this issue’s editorial feature. A
creation that helps brides visualize how stunning a simple wedding in
the right environment can be. De-
tails can still be implemented, style can be abundant and love trumps all. Amanda Hill with Recycled
Design conceptualized the location and styling of this edg y lava rock ceremony in Southern Utah shot by Alyssa Ence Photography.
We headed to northern Utah’s unique wedding venue + glamping resort, Conestoga Ranch, for this issue’s editorial feature, and fell in love with the venue + our couple and all the goods creatives brought to the table! Enjoy a sultr y scene in Conestoga’s honeymoon tent and an intimate celebration of love on site!

Nestled in the foothills near Bear Lake, Conestoga Ranch, with
canvas tents lining the hillside, easily lends itself to a rustic design. Nikkol Christiansen, of Refine, wanted to “show how clean lines
and organic surfaces could compliment the abundant textures of a mountainscape from a minimal design perspective. Dahlia Event Planning + F loral Design foraged greener y from the surrounding
hillside to bring the beautiful textures of the Ranch into the floral design. Using natural fibers and textures, Nikkol created a decon-
structed tablescape that allowed the individual design elements to connect the landscape with the table.

“Arlo + Mason” from the B L A N C collection at Grace Loves Lace, is an ode to the forever elegant Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Designed for the bride that exudes confidence and has an affinity for understated glamour. A flattering + soft V neckline with thin silk straps. The “Mason” cape is worn over the gown, made of fine French Chantilly Lace, the perfect complement to this understated timeless gown. (FROM GRACE LOVES LACE)

ANDORA Edg y brides with a soft side will fall head over heels for this crop top gown. The skirt is made of sumptuous D uchess Satin material, with just enough beautiful lace detailed embroider y to make this a truly spectacular gown for a special bride. (F R O M G AT E WAY B R I D A L )
Tons of fishtail braids from different areas of the head all weaved together created this look; still soft + romantic, but filled with detail. A strong brow with strong eye makeup create just enough edge to pair with the gown, but still feels bridal. That classic, supple lip finishes it off.
MILLIE Ivor y cotton lace creates comfort with clear beading and opal nuggets thoughout the apron create intriguing detail that ads just the right amount of weight to ensure a flattering fit all day long. (FROM THE PERFECT DRESS)
Something outside of the typical bridal box and perfect for this type of gown is a half up/half down look. A fawx hawk braid down the center that gently sweeps up the side pieces. A soft and natural bridal look that is just enough makeup for a bride who usually would not wear as much.
MILLICENT Ever y inch of this slim-fitting silver sheath gown is covered in lace applique and shimmering beadwork. The result is irresistible. (F R O M G AT E WAY B R I D A L )
Assymetrical looks are always really flattering in photos but not ever yone can pull them off. In this look you can see one side of the face really well as the hair is pulled away in the design. Big soft swoops with the bangs on the other side “hide more of the other side of the face. The silver tone of this dress and the winter theme prompted a darker look when it came to makeup. Bold eyes with an even bolder lip.
Simplifying the hair is sometimes the best way to play up an intricate gown, another side-swept look that is pulled off so well utilizing a braid on long thick hair. Makeup is kept simple, but bridal as well.
BENEDICT We love the blend of classic elements like long sleeves, with a modern twist like this plunging neckline to create perfect combinations. The timeless long sleeves are hard to pass up for a cold weather bride. (F R O M G AT E WAY B R I D A L )
EXCLUSIVE Exclusive to The Perfect Dress, Ivor y Silk Crepe creates this gown, ivor y matte beading creates the detail. Its jeweled neckline and sweeping beaded train steal the show and pair perfectly with a cathederal veil. (FROM THE PERFECT DRESS)
A soft updo for the bridal win on this look. Soft updo’s utilize veils really well and they also look timeless, photograph well, hold up well, and are out of the way for the bride. The makeup here has a bit of shimmer + glow to it around the eye and in the lip, perfect for a bride who wants a little sparkle or a frosty like look!
Do not ever understimate the beauty of a simple top knot! Exposing the entire face may be a vulnerable move but it photographs really well. A classic + timeless look that pairs really well with ball gowns. The bright berr y lip is just the right amount of fun for this flirty plus fun gown!
ETIENNE Layers of ruffles make the airiest, most delicate ball gowns. Even better is the layers inside of horsehair that keep this flirty shape looking perfect all night. (F R O M G AT E WAY B R I D A L )
POET From the B L A N C collection this gown is designed with the unpredictable + utterly chic bride in mind. The bold silhouette with romantic details are intriguing. Made of stretch French laces and Crepe De Chine silk with a high neckline and cable embroider y trim. All designed to show off the back, arms, and shoulders. (FROM GRACE LOVES LACE)
Soft curls paired with a wrap around fishtail braid give a hair half up look while utilizing current braid trends and pairing well with this edg y gown. Strong brow and strong eye suit this unique bridal gown really well, fit for a confident bride with high fashion style.

COLDER BLOOMS Colder weather brings richer darker tones into bridal vibes, lots of mood + lots of cool! Check out these pretty bridal bouquets filled with texture!
PHOTOGRAPHY BY JESSIE ALEXIS PHOTOGRAPHY BOUQUET BY POPPY & BLOOM FLORISTRY
A romantic design that plays on the use of dark rich hanging Amaranthus, Black Magic roses, dark burgundy dahlias, and homegrown Cafe Latte Dahlia’s for a touch of contrast. A bouquet combo that would complement any fall or winter bride! Plus those privet berries! (FROM POPPY & BLOOM FLORISTRY)
Andromeda + Saracena are among our favorites for texture and fall/winter availability, they cover all the goods for all the senses. Dark, rich dahlias give the rich depth that colder months demand; a voice that demonstrates the beauty of both. The added textures chosen for foliage lend to winter specific options and finish off the bouquet with just the right amount of green. (FROM ARI & RIS FLORAL)
Colors evoke emotions and this time of year brings on natural reflection with the change of season. The colors and emotions of fall are rich & inviting, much like the foods of all and the desire to host gatherings. Using unique earth inspired colors & texture combinations of artichoke, lilies, andromeda and scabiosa helped create emotions of gratitude & abundance. ( F R O M W H I T E L I LY L A N E )
