TDS®(sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie) • 145 km • 9,100 m elevation gain • in semi-autonomy • start in Courmayeur Tuesday 00:00 • 1600 participants • cut-off time for finishing : 42 hours • average time for winners to complete the race : 19 hours • 1rst edition in August 2009 • 8 qualifying points in 2 races maximum to enter the race or at least one Running Stone

PTL® (La Petite Trotte à Léon) • It is not considered as a competitive event and as such there is no official ranking. It must be completed in teams of 2 or 3 runners • The itinerary changes every year and the course is not marked, runners are only given a map • about 300 km, 30 passes to be crossed and 26,000 m elevation gain • cut-off time for finishing : 151:30 hours • start in Chamonix Monday 8:00am • 300 participants• 1rst edition in August 2008

REGISTERED TRADEMARKS

We carefully defend our trademarks, that is why we authorize their specific use only under the conditions below. When we tolerate the use of a trademark, the symbol ® must necessarily appear. Not complying to these rules gives rise to the procedure for protecting our rights.

The use of our trademarks is reserved to the holders of a partnership or a license agreement, as per their contract and this charter. The Ultra-Trail® trademark might be used without license or partnership agreement

with special authorization. It must then be used precisely as it has been registered and under the following conditions:

• No acronyms should be created from Ultra-Trail®. • Ultra-Trail® should never be used descriptively or as a common noun. • Spelling must not be changed. • The hyphen must not be removed. • Words should not be shortened or grouped together. • The plural form must not be used. • No word or element should be added between the trademark and the ®. • Ultra-Trail® must not be associated with any third-party trademark.

A protection zone, or clear space, has been defined around the logotype to preserve its visibility and to guide placement on assets. The protection zone of the logotype is equal to ½ U. No graphic element (text, logotype or visual) must infringe these protection zones.

2.2. COLORS

The two main colors are Daily Blue and Night Blue. The use of the UTMB® World Series main colors (Daily Blue and Night Blue) is reserved for UTMB® Mont-Blanc, as well as the UTMB® World Series. These colors have been chosen because they work well in negative too. Hence, it allows contrast and legibility.

3.2. PARTNERSHIP FRAMES Partnership frames may be used by UTMB ® partners for their communication (print or digital) within the framework of their contract. We can provide a version adapted to each tier of partnership. The blank part of the frame is for the partner's logo. The shape, colors, order of the frames and partner’s tier cannot be changed.

3.3. LOGO "REQUIRED AND APPROVED" The "UTMB® required & approved" logo is used by the UTMB®Mont-Blanc’s partner brands. It certifies that a product is compliant for the mandatory equipment checklist and that it is approved by the UTMB®Mont-Blanc organization. Each brand wishing to label its product for the upcoming edition will have to request approval from the organization between January 1 and May 30. For a product to be approved, please send the detailed and technical product description to the following addresses:

isabelle.juchat@utmb.world and violette.pollet@umtb.world. We will get back to you within 7 working days. The logo exists in two versions: black&white and color. It is available in vector format: .pdf, .jpg or .png. In order to ensure good legibility, the logo must always be greater than or equal to 12mm in width. This label is intended to guide your clients in their training and/or participation in the UTMB® Mont-Blanc.

Upon agreement with the organization, you may mention this feature in the product’s specification sheet. On the other hand, it is strictly forbidden to: - use this logo within the framework of your communication or promotion campaigns for the general public. - put this logo on the packaging of the product or even on the product itself (which requires a specific license agreement).

4. FONTS 4.1. TITLES The font for all titles is FUTURA - always in upper case.

All race names are in FUTURA bold capital letters, with the superscript "®".

UTMB® You may choose between Regular or Bold format, depending on the balance and visibility of the elements in their context.

4.2. TEXTS For all other texts (e.g.: paragraphs, website, newsletters...), the font to use is Futura, preferably Regular.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

6.2. VARIATIONS Each partner has access to InDesign files (.indd) composed of different layers forming the whole image of the year. With the exception of the background image, all elements may be moved to adapt to the desired shape as long as the final result respects the overall structure of the visual. The colors, proportions and order of the elements cannot be changed. All your creations must be approved by the organization in order to maintain consistency with the poster of the year. If you need special formats, please contact us. To link the visual to the UTMB®, please use the official logo of the event ("Presented by") or one of the "Partner" logos. It is mandatory to use the copyright on the image: ©UTMB 2022. Please contact us for derived products.

7.2. USE THE PHOTOS PRODUCED BY UTMB® This agreement applies to the photos used to promote the event. This means that any photo (or part of a photo) that cannot be clearly linked to the event is not covered by this agreement and must be negotiated directly by the photographer.

AGREEMENT CONCERNING THE PHOTOS PRODUCED BY UTMB® •For your online activities, you may use the photos – in medium definition (1500px - 72dpi) - from the media library provided that they are also used for the promotion of the event. •UTMB® partners and journalists may use the photos in high definition for their "print" needs: 30 HD photos (source files) by the official photographers, provided they are used for the promotion of the event. These photos cannot be divided or cut.

COMMERCIAL USE The use of a photo or a part of a photo out of the context of the event, in direct association with the sale of a product, a sales or marketing support is not part of this agreement and must be negotiated directly between the user of the photo and the photographer.

7.3. ACQUIRE OFFICIAL PHOTOS SPECIFICATIONS The partner may present precise specifications no later than mid-July. The organization will provide a price according to their request.

SHARING PHOTOS DURING EVENT A digital solution (such as WhatsApp or Greenfly) will be set up to send you photos of the UTMB® Mont-Blanc. More details will be communicated to as the event approaches

If you wish, we can put the official photos on a hard disk for you. If you are interested, please take your hard disk to the Media Center and give it to the Serac Production team.

15. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FOR PARTNERS 15.1. PRODUCT PLACEMENT If you are interested in product placement, do not hesitate to send your products and associated specification sheets to the UTMB® before the end of March. 15.2 PROMOTION OF PARTNER PRODUCTS AND SERVICES OFFICIAL LICENSED PRODUCTS AND SERVICES The UTMB® Mont-Blanc promotes official products and/or services under the UTMB® Mont-Blanc License. The promotion will not be carried out according to a standard model, as it will be integrated in the runner's experience (on & offline customer path). At the beginning of the year, the UTMB® Mont-Blanc will share with each Licensee its recommendation regarding the promotion plan for the official licensed product/ service. In order to maximize efficiency, each Licensee is requested to send to the UTMB® Mont-Blanc organization the official information & elements that may be used: names, logos, photos, product descriptions, benefits, product release calendar, targets... Possible promotional elements for official products/services under the UTMB® Mont-Blanc License (including but not limited to): • Products/services promotion during the online registration process • Emails promoting products/services • Products/services placement in the official contents • Products/services promotion during virtual challenges • Products/official services area in our eShop/website • Products/services promotion during the official editions of the UTMB® Mont-Blanc Etc.

17. PARTNERS BIBS Each partner may use all or part of their guaranteed race bib(s) to carry out promotional activities within their own communities. The promotion via social networks or the partner's newsletter is possible from the announcement of the entry process for the year N+1 until the end of the registration period, that is from February to January. It is strictly forbidden to sell these bibs. Any promotion of this kind must be validated by the UTMB® Mont-Blanc organization (violette.pollet@utmb.world) to ensure compliance with the values of the UTMB® and respect of the eligibility conditions. 21.2. PRODUCT TESTING SECTION DETAILS The partner chooses a product from its 2021/2022 range. Product will be tested in mountains conditions by independents testers. 22. OUTDOOR BRANDING As per the partnership agreements, partners benefit from outdoor branding opportunities.

22.1. 22.3. THE MEDIA CENTER The partner space at the media center is located in the Salle Michel Payot at the Centre Congrès Majestic in Chamonix. Partners who wish to set up their booth during the event must reach out before July 31st, specifying the size of the booth and their technical needs (e.g., electrical outlet). Booths must have a maximum dimension of 2m x 1m and no sound system. They must be delivered to the media center from Sunday morning to Wednesday morning. Dismantling must be scheduled for Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. Please let us know in advance your schedule. No other branding support is allowed at the media center.

23. RUNNER SURVEY Depending on the partnership agreement, partners may communicate one or more closed questions which will be sent in a newsletter before or after the event to all the riders. Please send us your questions and let us know if you wish to be positioned before or after the event before 15 July 2022.
