I am a father to two great children, a husband to an amazing nurse, and a naval veteran. My career goals are to continue aquatic research and work on conservation efforts with varied aquatic species. I would like to express my appreciation for this generous gift to help me continue my education. This scholarship allows me to afford child care while I complete my studies and take a step back from my job. Acts of generosity such as this make a tremendous difference.

Receiving scholarships like this one is incredibly motivating for me while I continue my studies at UWM. It inspires me to continue to work hard in achieving my goals in hopes of someday being able to also give back to students who are in the same place as me. It is wonderful to know that great people care so much about freshwater science and are willing to support students who are trying to make a career in the field.
