Horizon legt zich vooral toe op een gespecialiseerd assortiment Kalanchoë en Phalaenopsis in diverse potmaten. Onze belangrijkste doelgroep is de groothandel, maar ook tuincentra en professionele floristen helpen wij met veel genoegen! De afdeling ‘toegevoegde waarde’ creëert voor hen “just in time” afgewerkte producten rond thema’s zoals Valentijn, Pasen, Moederdag, Halloween, Kerstmis... Horizon se consacre principalement à la culture d’un assortiment de Kalanchoë et de Phalaënopsis et ce, dans des contenants variés et adaptés aux différentes Fêtes et occasions. Sa clientèle cible et englobe essentiellement les grossistes, mais les jardineries et les fleuristes professionnels sont également les bienvenus ! Pour ces clients, le département ‘valeur ajoutée’ crée des produits finis dits ‘just in time’ à l’occasion des Fêtes : Saint-Valentin, Pâques, Fête des Mères, Halloween, Noël... Horizon focuses on growing a specialized assortment of Kalanchoe and Phalaenopsis in flowerpots of different sizes. Horizon ‘s target clientele mainly includes wholesalers, but garden centers and florists are always welcome! For these customers, the ‘added-value’ department creates unique products for all kinds of occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, etc.

Horizon is MPS-gecertificeerd. MPS (Milieu Programma Sierteelt) is een internationaal geaccrediteerde milieustandaard, met als doel de milieubelasting op onze samenleving onder controle te houden. MPS wil bedrijven stimuleren tot een milieubewuste teelt van planten en uitgangsmateriaal. De MPS-norm is gebaseerd op de registratie van: - het gebruik van gewasbeschermingsmiddelen; - het gebruik van meststoffen; - het energieverbruik; - de afvalverwerking; en het maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen. De geregistreerde gegevens worden op regelmatige tijdstippen aan de controleinstantie bezorgd. De cijfers worden vergeleken met de normen en leiden zo tot een quotering. Horizon est titulaire du certificat MPS. Le MPS (Milieu Programma Sierteelt / programme environnemental de culture de plantes ornementales) est une norme écologique accréditée au niveau international, visant à maîtriser la charge environnementale sur notre société. Le MPS veut stimuler, voire inciter les entreprises à une culture de plantes et de matériel de sortie, sensibilisées aux problèmes de l’environnement. La norme MPS est basée sur l’enregistrement : - de l’utilisation de produits conservateurs de plantes ; - de l’utilisation d’engrais ; - de la consommation d’énergie ; - du traitement des déchets ; et la responsabilité sociale de l’entreprise. Les données enregistrées sont soumises à l’autorité de contrôle, et cela à intervalles réguliers. Les chiffres sont comparés aux normes, ce qui résulte en une qualification. Horizon is MPS certified. It is an internationally accredited environmental standard which aims to limit society’s impact on the environment. MPS strives to encourage businesses worldwide to be more aware of the impact of growing plants on our environment. The MPS standard is based on the recording of: - the use of protective plant treatments; - the use of fertilizers; - the energy consumption in these processes; - the processing of waste material; and socially responsible trading. The recorded data is regularly submitted to the controlling authority for inspection. The provided figures are then compared to the MPS standards resulting in the acquirement of an adequate qualification.
