20 YEARS OF VAIL JAZZ
01
welcome friends WINTER 2014 As The Vail Jazz Foundation embarks on its 20 year, I am delighted to introduce this celebratory milestone with a Winter Series that embodies all that we strive to achieve. Vail Jazz produces, promotes and celebrates the creative virtuosity of superb musicians throughout each of our events, no matter the season. Whether you join us under the tent during summertime performances in Vail, or attend our intimate soireĂŠs on snowy winter evenings, we are so thankful for your support and we promise to deliver the height of excellence in Jazz for another 20 years. th
Over the past few years, the Winter Series has gained significant momentum, filling club shows and large venues with music lovers whose hunger for the Jazz tradition does not diminish with the change of season. We are honored to present three truly incredible musicians in our Winter Series, each of whom is a celebrated master of his or her craft. The 20th Anniversary Vail Jazz Festival begins on June 22nd, presenting over 40 performances by 150 artists in Vail. The Festival will culminate over Labor Day Weekend with the Vail Jazz Party, bringing 40 of the biggest names in straightahead jazz together for an exciting 5-day jazz extravaganza. As you begin to make your summer plans, we hope that you will plan to join us as we fill the streets of Vail with the sounds of Swing, Salsa, Bebop, Blues, and the American Songbook throughout Summer 2014. If you support bringing high-quality jazz performances and interactive Jazz education programs taught by seasoned instructors to the Vail Valley, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to The Vail Jazz Foundation. I hope that you enjoy our Winter Series, and I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming Vail Jazz event!
