Valencia Honors Program Admission Criteria for Summer 2012 Applicant
Criteria Standardized Exam
Valencia Student with less than 9 collegelevel credit hours **
Have an ACT composite score of 26 or higher Or Have a combined score of on the SAT of 1170 or higher (Reading and Math)
High School Grade Point Average Have a unweighted cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher Or Have a weighted cumulative high school GPA of 4.3 or higher And
PERT Scores * Writing 99 Reading 104 Mathematics 123 CPT(I) 50 Or Writing 116 Reading 116 Mathematics 113
Test into college-level courses based on college placement test Valencia Have a minimum cumulative college-level Valencia GPA of 3.25 with a minimum of 9 Student college-level credit hours and no more than four course withdrawals within the past with at least five years 9 credit hours Dual Enrolled Student
Dual enrolled students must meet the ACT, SAT, or PERT test score requirements listed above PLUS have permission from Director of the Dual Enrollment Program to be admitted into the Valencia Honors Program. Note: In addition to meeting test scores requirements, dual enrolled students with at least 9 college-level credits must have a minimum cumulative college-level GPA of 3.25.
Transfer Student
Transfer students must meet one of the above test criteria (providing the scores are less than two years old) or have a minimum cumulative college-level Valencia GPA of 3.25 with a minimum of 9 college-level credit hours and no more than four course withdrawals within the past five years
* Students with non-expired CPT scores are eligible by either of the following score profiles: Writing 83 Reading 83 Algebra 90 College Math 50 OR Writing 100 Reading 97 Algebra 72 ** NOTE: Students may not be admitted into the Honors Program until all reading, writing, and EAP prep work has been completed. Students who have completed all prep requirements except for MAT0028C may apply for honors so long as they are enrolled in MAT0028C or MAT0022C during the CURRENT TERM .
