SOCIAL SCIENCE CREDITS Course

Program Outcomes: • Demonstrate technical instrumental and/or vocal proficiency. • Appraise different musical performance practices based on musical style and history. • Perform in a recital or concert setting as both soloist and member of an ensemble. • Develop a working vocabulary of musical terminology. • Demonstrate an understanding of music theory. • Practice competencies of sight singing and ear training. NOTE: Secondary Piano (Proficiency by examination) is required for transfer to a Florida public university. It is strongly recommended that students complete MVK 1111C (Piano Class For Music Majors I) MVK1112C (Piano Class For Music Majors II), MVK 1121C (Piano Class For Music Majors III), and MVK 1122C (Piano Class For Music Majors IV) as needed to achieve piano proficiency. Check course descriptions for prerequisites. Some ensembles may require an audition.
