O

n December 10, 2011, a bunch of spirit-filled EHTHS Key Clubbers helped out at Holdiay Circle—an event that takes place around the holiday season to entertain children, provide fun and enjoyment to them, and to relieve the parents of their children for a few hours in the morning (just kidding). This took place

at the Davenport Elementary School and is for children from third grade. The children arrived, figured out what they wanted to do, and off they went! The children could either go to the art table to make various arts and crafts, play a board game, or play an active game like Twister or Limbo. There was even a dance event for

all the kids to participate in, and best of all, there was a surprise visit from SANTA CLAUS! Santa Claus was Sergeant-at-Arms Bryan Williamson. All in all, it was a wonderful event to have before the holidays. Key Club members using their weekend time to provide fun and entertainment for kids is a very heartfelt deed. 

round! We’re very proud!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had an amazing winter break!

Anyway, I learned a lot at Key Leader which you can find more information on page 3! I seriously recommend everyone to attend Key Leader next year; it is truly a life-changing experience and plus you learn so much about yourself!

Since the last issue, several events has passed: Key Leader, Holiday Circle, and Project Showcase. Congratulations to Edward Lin for making it to the next

Key Leader! BY VALERIE WONG Bulletin Editor

“You know!”

D

uring the weekend of December 9-11, six EHTHS Key Clubbers attended an annual Kiwanis Key Leader program at Camp Lebanon. This program was designed to teach teenagers ages 14-18 what leadership is and what a true leader does. Now, it may seem boring from the description, but there’s more than what meets the eye. Key Leader is a program to bring students to-

gether who share the same passion–service and leadership. You honestly meet the most phenomenal people from all over the state of New Jersey– even a Key Clubber from New York attended (shout-out to Michael Rovner!) This weekend disregards the dictionary definition of what a leader is and teaches you how to become a stronger and better leader–a Key Leader. Brian Ritchie, our camp facilitator, is an amazing

representative of a Key Leader. You also find out so much about yourself and you start to rearrange and/or strengthen your values. This is such an amazing opportunity. If you’re a freshman, sophomore, or junior, you still have the chance to attend Key Leader 2012! Just keep your eyes out for when registration starts again. I highly recommend that you attend! 
