Key Project Showcase
Last year’s Generosity Rocks changes its name to Project Showcase to include talents other than performing musical pieces. What is Project Showcase? Project Showcase is essentially a talent show that helps fundraise for the ELIMINATE Project. ELIMINATE is a cause from the collaboration of UNICEF and Kiwanis International to raise money for the immunization of maternal and neonatal tetanus of mothers and babies in poor countries.
What types of talents are accepted this year? Any kind of appropriate talent is accepted this year in Project Showcase. Last year, Generosity Rocks was an event where groups and individuals sang or performed a musical number. So this year, dance routines, singers, pianists, violinists, and any other sorts of talents are welcomed!

O
ver the weekend of November 5th and 6th, EHTHS Key Club members met at four different locations armed with those legendary orange UNICEF boxes. Cedar Crest, Crystal and La Costa Lakes, Fernwood, and The Reserves were all areas where Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF took place. Ready to make a difference, groups of eager Key Clubbers rang a number of doorbells in order to raise money for a truly worthy cause. General member Anthony Woo dresses up as a French person during November to trick-or-treat for UNICEF.
You, Me, and UNICEF BY AMANDA AUBLE General Member
“It was great,” said general member Rebecca Wong, “it was a beautiful day outside and we got to raise a lot of money for UNICEF.” Rebecca, cleverly dressed as a detour sign, and her group did their part and Trick-orTreated for donations in La Costa Lakes.
Every year, Key Club participates in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, an event that helps raise money to benefit the lives of poverty stricken children living in Uruguay. Hardworking club members take time out of their weekends to collect money to provide education, family counseling, and social services for at-risk adolescents. This annual event not only shows the dedication of Key Club, but how generosity can be spread globally.
UNICEF stands for United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.
