BREAST CANCER AWARENESS & EARLY DETECTION Did you know that early detection is key in the treatment of breast cancer? Sometimes breast cancer is found after symptoms appear. But many times it can be diagnosed and treated with better results when there are no symptoms. This is why doing a monthly breast self-exam and scheduling a mammogram every two years are so important—especially for those at higher risk and women 50 and older.*

Breast Self-Exam: 1. Examine each breast and armpit with a raised arm. 2. Standing in front of a mirror, look for changes. 3. Laying down, feel for changes using the flat pads (not the tips) of your three middle fingers. 4. Talk to your PCP or OB/GYN about any unusual changes.
