Strategies Aimed at Maximizing Your Social Security Benefits limit on your earnings.
BY MELANIE HASTY-GRANT
In the old days, the Social Security Administration would send you a Social Security statement each year in the mail. It estimated what your benefits would be if you retired at your full retirement age, at age 70, and also at age 62 (which is the earliest you can apply for benefits). You can retire as early as 62 and take benefits at a reduced rate. If you work after your full retirement age, you can receive higher benefits because of additional earnings and credits for delayed retirement. Full retirement age is determined based on what year you were born. If you were born in 1938 or earlier, full retirement age is 65. If you were born between 1943 and 1959, your full retirement age is 66 (plus a few months depending on the exact year of your birth). If you were born 1960 or later, full retirement age is 67. So basically, the age to receive full Social Security benefits is inching upward each year. Before long, who knows? You may have to be 80 years old to retire with full benefits. Hopefully, I’m joking here. If you are eligible for retirement benefits, your current or divorced spouse (so long as you were married for 10 years or more) and minor children may also receive benefits. Each may qualify for up to about 50 percent of your benefit amount. Social Security statements are no longer delivered to you each year via mail. However, you can easily go online and sign up for an account with the Social Security Administration and check what your estimates would be. Just go to www.socialsecurity.gov. It’s easy and free! Many people believe that Social Security benefits are designed to replace 100% of your income when you retire. It is not! Social Security benefits are not intended to be your
www.ValueNews.com
• When can I apply for Social Security retirement benefits? You can apply for Social Security retirement benefits when you are at least 61 years and 9 months of age. You should apply three months before you want your benefits to start. Even if you are not ready to retire, you should still sign up for Medicare three months before your 65th birthday.
only source of income when you retire. On average, Social Security will replace about 40 percent of your annual pre-retirement earnings. You will need other savings, investments, pensions, or retirement accounts to make sure you have enough money to live comfortably when you retire. So, if you don’t want to find yourself up a creek without a paddle, you need to start pinching your pennies now and building your retirement savings. The following are questions that my clients often ask about Social Security: • Will withdrawals from my individual retirement account affect my Social Security benefits? Social Security does not count pensions payments, annuities, or the interest or dividends from your savings and investments as earnings. They do not lower your Social Security retirement benefits. However, if you take benefits prior to your full retirement age, and you are receiving earned income (from employment) over the yearly earnings limit, your benefit will be reduced. For 2015, that yearly earnings limit is $15,720. For every $2 over the limit, they will deduct $1 from your benefit payment. After you reach full retirement age, you can receive full benefits with no
• If you are already collecting your retirement benefit and are at or over full retirement age, you can tell Social Security you want to suspend further benefits and then ask them to restart your benefits at a later date, like at age 70. Social Security will then apply its Delayed Retirement Credit to your existing benefit once you start collecting again. So, if you are willing to give up your Social Security income for a while, you may be able to collect higher benefits later. It’s important to have as full a handle of Social Security’s guidelines as possible. For information about more Social Security ideas I’ve learned over the years that you may not know or fully understand, give us call. We can run a benefits report for you to help you determine when and how to take your benefits to maximize the amount you can draw. A Crowning Advancement New technology eliminates messy, gaggy impressions and creates finished porcelain crowns in HOURS, not weeks. By Steve White, D.D.S Like every thing else in our lives, technology has greatly influenced the efficiency, quality and accuracy of the care dentists can deliver to their patients. It starts with the business office, where every thing is streamlined – from appointment scheduling, to bookkeeping and maintaining patient records, to communication and marketing through social media. Diagnostic procedures are enhanced with the use of highly accurate digital xrays. They produce less radiation and there are no longer messy chemicals used to process those x-rays, that have created environmental concerns. Perhaps the most noticeable advancement that can greatly improve your dental experience is in the area of actual dental treatment. We can now produce finished porcelain crowns in less than 2 hours using CAD/CAM technology. Even when “same day” crowns aren’t an option, they can still be finished in a shorter amount of time, meaning less time the patient has to wear a tem-
porary crown. Another huge benefit for many patients is no messy, gaggy impressions. Digital impressions are highly accurate and are being used in all phases of dental treatment, including making partial and full dentures, orthodontic diagnosis and treatment and complicated cases involving dental implants, crowns, bridges, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. White’s team is trained to deliver quality restorations using this system in a clean, friendly environment. The benefits to the patient include: • 1 visit to the dentist instead of 2 • Only need to have your mouth numb one time • No messy impressions • Unsurpassed accuracy • On-Site lab technician to insure perfect shade matching & completing the restoration • No need to wear a temporary crown You might think this sounds expensive. It is actually no more costly than the old 2 appointment procedures that required more chair time, making temporary crowns (that sometimes need to be recemented), not as much anesthesia, no impression materials, and not as much time and expense for room and instrument sterilization and set-up. These costsavings offset the investment in the state-of-the-art equipment necessary to deliver these fine restorations. As we enter the fall months, don’t forget about your dental health and that needed dental work you’ve been
putting off. Your dental insurance and flex plan benefits are lost if you don’t use them by the end of the year. The closer we get to the holidays, it becomes harder to find time for both you and your dentist to fit in those appointments. Give yourself the gift of health this year and don’t throw away the benefits you’ve earned. Call now to make those important appointments.

ZZap Bedbugs with Frostbite Mother Nature’s Pest Control announces subzero method of stopping bedbugs dead in their tracks.
By Duane Blankenship My home is clean, so I’ll never have to worry about bedbugs, right? Wrong! The experts at Mother Nature’s Pest Control say the bedbug problem has reached pandemic proportions. Bedbugs are now a widespread epidemic affecting people around the world. Shelia Disler, Justin Buckmaster and Andrea Monks are the bedbug experts at Mother Nature’s, and they have some alarming facts to share. Bedbugs are round, nocturnal insects that subsist on a diet of blood. They snack on mammals, and given the choice, they prefer us humans. Most of the time bedbugs are thin and slightly transparent. Once they’ve dined, they are fat and brown. Because you and I are their favorite snack, they’ve become very adept at hiding in our houses – in beds, cracks in the walls, electrical fittings – anywhere, in fact, where they can get close to us but stay out of sight. Bedbugs aren’t dirty, they don’t spread disease, they move slowly, and they can’t fly. But when they bite, they make you itch like crazy. “Bedbugs are one of nature’s best hitchhikers,” says Shelia, “and today they are found in even the finest homes, hotels and motels, movie theaters, restaurants,

People don’t realize it, but bedbugs also hide under baseboards, between mattresses, in plastics like kids’ walkers and toys, in suitcases and travel bags and, literally, just about anywhere. We’ve even found them in breath-
subways and other public transportation. Wherever we go, they go!” (Are you itching yet?) Although you can’t eliminate an infestation of bedbugs yourself, you can enlist professionals to fight the battle. Mother Nature’s has just introduced Frostbite, a sub-zero method of freezing bedbugs on contact. Frostbite is also effective on roaches and other pests. “Frostbite disrupts all life

ing machines.” Here are some great tips from Andrea to help you reduce the risk of getting bedbugs in your home: When you travel, don’t put your luggage on the bed. Inspect motel rooms prior to “moving in.” The safest place for luggage is the bath tub. (Bedbugs hate porcelain and tile.)

When you get home, leave the luggage in the garage. Put all the clothes from your luggage in the dryer and turn the dry cycle on high. (Temperatures over 115 degrees F will kill bedbugs.) After putting clothes through one dry cycle, wash them and then do another dry cycle. Bedbugs love clutter. If guilty, remove clutter. When you order something online or through the mail, don’t open it inside your home. The number one carrier of bedbugs today is secondhand furniture. (Mother Nature’s recommends a treatment of Frostbite before bringing furniture into your home.) As always, use good sense and good judgment. If you do find bedbugs, call Mother Nature’s to launch a treatment with Frostbite.

LLower Your Utility Bills Community Builders offers customers great suggestions for efficient home improvement.
By Duane Blankenship Community Builders, Inc. President Greg Wolter founded the organization while working out of his home more than 30 years ago. The company does home remodeling throughout most of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Southeast Kansas, and Southwest Missouri. They are not general contractors, but rather specialize in work they know best and do really well. That includes energy-efficient composite siding and replacement windows, bath
remodels, GutterProUSA gutter guard systems, sunrooms that are second to none, and metal roof systems. According to Greg, throughout their long history, Community Builders has impressed customers with their professionalism and dedication to customer service. “We’re grateful to be able to provide outstanding products and services to our clients and are thankful for the opportunity they’ve given us to earn their business,” he said.
Now is a great time to be thinking about roofs. Greg says a common shingle has an average life expectancy of only seven years, and a quality, top-of-theline shingle should last about 11 years. Community Builders is currently featuring metal shingles and stone-coated metal shingles that carry 50-year labor and materials warranties. Yes, they cost more than run-of-themill composite shingles, but compare the life expectancies. Greg says that most insurance

companies also discount premiums on homeowner policies up to 35 percent for stone-coated or metal roofs. “When we install our metal roofing products, we put a layer of insulation under the roof that should save customers money on both their heating and cooling utility bills,” he explained. When asked by customers how long he thinks a metal roof will really last, Greg answers, “I don’t know. We’ve only been in business for 30 years!” You’ll definitely want to check out Community Builders’ metal roof deals that will save you money on installation. You’ll also receive a Green Energy Barrier installed that employs advanced space age technology. With the Energy Barrier, Greg says customers can expect to save from 20 to 40 percent on cooling bills and a little less on heating. Community also offers 12 months “same as cash” or easy low payment plans to suit you and your budget. “When you install a traditional shingle to your home, it does nothing to improve the home’s value,” says Greg. “With Community Builders’ metal or stone-coated metal shingles, your home’s value will improve.” Some of the other quality products you’ll find at Community Builders include Jacuzzi walk-in tubs, custombuilt sunrooms that let you enjoy the outdoors in comfort regardless of the weather or season, Cedar Ridge Vinyl Siding that provides your home with the look of freshly painted cedar without the upkeep of

traditional wood siding, and Enviro View Premium Windows. These replacement windows are advertised to improve energy savings by up to 40 percent with their energyefficient design that is airtight, reflects hot summer air, and locks out cool air during the worst of winter; plus they are durable and incredibly simple to maintain. Homeowners report over 40% savings on their heating and air conditioning bills. Halloween Activities for Everyone The Castle of Muskogee’s annual Halloween Festival returns with a new event this year – Portal to the Dead. By Renee Profitt
Expect a bigger, better, and more exciting Halloween Festival at the Castle of Muskogee with new scenes, more actors, and new merchants. Enjoy eleven great Halloween events at one incredible location, 3400 West Fern Mountain Road in Muskogee, Oklahoma’s 60-acre Halloween Theme Park! You’ll find thrills for the entire family, both inside and outside The Castle, located a short 35-minute drive from Tulsa on the Muskogee Turnpike. New this year – Portal to the Dead! Ancient hieroglyphics led modern scientists to create “portals” where we can see the spirits of the dead. We can only hope they can’t come through the portal into our world! A big hit when introduced in 2013, the 10,000-square-foot Dark Castle Zombie Hunt will continue in 2015. You will be issued an infrared assault weapon that fires special “Zombie Bullets” to protect yourself and kill Zombies while you search for survivors of the raging Zombie wars inside. Or, try a walk through the woods on the Trail of Blood, where the lost souls of those who have gone before will guide you; the Torture
Chamber shows what really happened in medieval times in the depths of the dungeons; Casa Morte is a labyrinth through the 12th Century Castle with doom and mystery around every corner; Domus Horrificus takes you to the areas where your favorite horror monsters dwell; and in the Ultimate Maze, most of you will find your way, and the rest of you, well… For those of you with faint hearts, there is always the Haunted Hayride, a trip that is sure to keep you on your toes as you ride through the Halloween Festival grounds; the Enchanted Boardwalk is your chance to stroll on the boardwalk filled with Halloween inflatables; experience live entertainment on the Chessboard Stage with the Magic of Matthew VanZee, The Escapologist, and the comedy of the Jester Rejects. For little ones 8 years of age and under, The Halloween Festival hosts Halloween Land – an old-fashioned carnival of kid-friendly games, face painting, and prizes with absolutely no scares! The Halloween Village is the place where everyone experiences the very best of
The Castle’s Halloween Festival takes place every weekend in October. Halloween, including ghost stories, dancing, hot and cold food and drinks, games, and bounce houses. Best of all, admission to the Village is free. On Friday, October 9 only, there will be a canned food drive benefiting the Muskogee Cooperative Ministries Food Pantry. For every canned food item you bring to the Castle, you will receive half off a single ticket. Parking and admission to the Halloween Village is free. Tickets must be purchased for each event
and the prices range from $2 to $15 with combo specials available. Advance tickets may be purchased online. Go to www.okcastle.com to check out ticket prices, combo packages and specials. Everyone under the age of 18 must have a picture I.D. to enter. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The Castle of Muskogee’s Halloween Festival will be open October 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31. Hours are 6 p.m. to
10 p.m., with Halloween Land open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, contact

Clinical Trial for Alzheimer’s Disease Accepting Patients
Tulsa Clinical Research is currently conducting a clinical trial testing a new investigational medication to help maintain memory and delay mental decline in those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. By Sheryl Sowell Tulsa Clinical Research conducts clinical trials in all phases. One of their most vital trials currently is for Alzheimer’s disease, now underway to test a new drug that shows promise for slowing the relentless progression of memory loss and mental decline in Alzheimer’s patients. The
clinical research study is testing whether this investigational drug can help maintain memory and day-to-day living in people with mild Alzheimer’s disease. There hasn’t been a new drug approved to treat Alzheimer’s in a decade, but researchers are working hard to change that. Ralph W. Richter, MD,
Dr. Ralph W. Richter, founder and president of Tulsa Clinical Research.
FACP, established Tulsa Clinical Research, LLC in 1986. As its founder and current president, Dr. Richter’s experience is unparalleled. He maintains a private practice in neurology and neuropsychiatry. Dr. Richter is also Clinical Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Tulsa. In addition to numerous other publications, he is the author of “Alzheimer’s Disease: A Physician’s Guide to Practical Management.” Dementia is an overall term for diseases and conditions characterized by a decline in memory or other thinking skills that affects a person’s ability to perform everyday activities. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. Dr. Richter shares a few signs that someone may have dementia: being unable to remember things; asking the same question or repeating the same story over and over; becoming lost in familiar places; being unable to follow directions; getting confused about time, people, and places; trouble understanding visual images and spatial relationships; new problems with words in speaking or writing; neglecting personal

safety, hygiene, and nutrition; decreased or poor judgment; withdrawal from work or social activities; and changes in mood and personality, including apathy and depression. Everyone experiences a phenomenon called age-related memory loss. As we get older, our memory simply isn’t what it used to be. Many people, however, use this common, normal forgetfulness as an excuse to ignore more serious memory problems. If you have a relative or loved one with whom you’re concerned may have more serious memory problems, observe them for a few weeks; this will help you get a feeling if their memory problems are a normal part of aging, or if it could possibly be something more serious. The trials at Tulsa Clinical Research are sponsored by the National Alzheimer’s Association and the National Institute of Aging. Their goal is to identify those at risk and treat with medication before symptoms become severe. The prevention studies at Tulsa Clinical Research utilize imaging procedures to look at an individual’s brain structure and metabolism to determine if they are at risk to develop Alzheimer’s. “You cannot arrest the disease, but you can slow it down,” says Dr. Richter. “The amount of time between when subtle symptoms of dementia begin and when diagnosis occurs is eight years – that’s a lot of lost time. It is important to begin preventative treatment as early as possible.” According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 in 9 Americans aged 65 or older has Alzheimer’s disease. An estimated five million
Page 15
people are living with this disease in America, and those numbers will increase as the population ages. “It’s important to remember that you’re not alone. Many other people are facing similar challenges,” Dr. Richter adds. With more than 200 national and international clinical research studies, experience is at the core of Tulsa Clinical Research. The staff of Tulsa Clinical Research is dedicated to excellence in research trials. “With minimal screenfailures, rapid enrollment, optimal compliance, study adherence, and caregiver support, our track record is spotless,” says Dr. Richter. “We strictly follow GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in accordance with FDA regulatory guidelines. Not only do we provide high quality data, our friendly, motivated staff members seek to serve the patient and their family.” Tulsa Clinical Research conducts a large number of other clinical trials including depression, COPD, fibromyalgia, adolescent ADHD, and many more. Medical Breakthrough Treatment Saves Patient From Back Surgery TULSA. Until now people who suffer lower back pain due to disc bulge, disc herniation, degenerative joint and disc disease, stenosis, or sciatica had few options and even fewer that really helped. Back surgery is in most cases unnecessary and not helpful in the long run. Cigna insurance company found that 87% of patients after having spinal fusion had the same amount or more pain two years after the surgery. That’s a 90% failure rate. Our Non-surgical decompression program with the DRX9000 has made a tremendous difference in people’s lives. One study found that even 4 years after the treatment patients still had little or very little back pain. Pain levels dropped a staggering amount from 7.41 to 1.57. Don’t Live In Pain Another Day! LLive Halloween Freak Show
Make plans to tour the Haunted Mansion of Melanie Hasty-Grant and Ken Grant on October 24 to benefit Night Light Tulsa. By Duane Blankenship Melanie Hasty-Grant and Ken Grant are the owners of Waterstone Private Wealth Management, with offices in Owasso and at Utica Square in Tulsa. If you’ve ever met the couple, you know that they enjoy life, helping people and having a lot of fun along the way. Waterstone Private Wealth Management has received many awards over the years for their hard work and their creative spark. For the past ten years, Melanie and Ken have enjoyed sponsoring creative Halloween parties, which were originally for their family and friends. The past five years, the parties have transformed into fundraisers designed to benefit local charity organizations. Waterstone has extended an invitation for you to attend the Live Freak Show to benefit Night Light Tulsa. Saturday, October 24 is the date of the Live Freak Show, billed as a tour of the scariest home on earth. Tickets for the
event are $15 each and must be purchased in advance at either Waterstone Private Wealth Management or at Surceé in Owasso, located at 9455 Owasso Expressway, Suite CB. Tours will be conducted between 6 and 9 p.m. Parking will be at Surceé, and those who have prepurchased tickets will be shuttled to and from the Freak Show by trolley. No private vehicles will be permitted at the event site. You’ll know you’ve arrived at the Freak Show site when you spot the old black hearse in the front yard. “The Freak Show will feature a tour of the house and hot dogs, popcorn and spiked lemonade,” said Melanie. Night Light Tulsa is an opportunity for caring Tulsa area residents to build relationships with members of Tulsa’s homeless community. Night Light offers a hot meal, as well as essentials like soap, deodorant, first aid, clothing and foot washing to the homeless who attend the dinners held each
Thursday night from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. under the bridge at Maybelle and Brady. “The hope is that each homeless guest will know that they are important and that there are others who care about them,” said Melanie. More information about this program is available online at www.nightlighttulsa.org. Waterstone will also be sponsoring an annual Halloween party that is by invitation only. It, too, will benefit Night Light Tulsa. The party will be catered by the Waterstone team and will feature corn dogs, funnel cakes, Indian tacos and popcorn, as well as a performance by a professional magician and a fortune teller. Melanie encourages attendees to dress up as anything you’d expect to find at a “freak show,” such as the World’s Tallest Man, a ringmaster, clown, tight rope walker or magician. “We hope to sponsor at least ten or more Night Light Tulsa meals this year with the help of our fundraising efforts,” said Melanie. What are you doing Saturday,

UUncorking the Cure for MS The 14th annual dinner and auction benefiting the National MS Society will be October 15 at Cain’s Ballroom.
By Gena Hyde
On Thursday, October 15, the National MS Society will host the 14th annual Uncorking the Cure for MS with a western chic theme at the legendary Cain’s Ballroom. This annual dinner and auction raises funds to fuel progress in MS research, and supports much needed programs and services that help each person living with MS live their best life. Singer, performer and bandleader Cindy Cain was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2000. Raised in Pryor, Oklahoma, Cindy honed her vocals and style while living in Washington, D.C. before relocating in 2001 to Tulsa, where she has received many accolades for her work. After years of performing in various venues in Washington, D.C. and Oklahoma, Cindy’s performance schedule has slowed down mainly due to fatigue from her MS. However, she continues to lend her time and talent to raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis through events such as Uncorking the Cure for MS and Walk MS. Cindy attended Uncorking the Cure for MS for the first time in 2014 with members of her Walk MS team. She bought tickets as a way to thank her friend and team captain of Violette’s
Vengeance, Donna Leming. “I’ve been touched from the start by Donna’s persistence in raising money for MS research.” Another friend, who also lives with MS and is a volunteer with the National MS Society, encouraged Cindy to become more actively involved in Uncorking the Cure for MS. Cindy is a member for the event’s steering committee and is the featured entertainment with her band. “Working on the steering committee and performing at this year’s Uncorking the Cure for MS is the coalescence of two
threads – a thread of persistence and a thread of advocacy, by others on my behalf. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share my story if it helps someone else and to say thank you to those who have helped and inspired me,” Cindy said. “Everyone on the MS spectrum – persons living with MS, their family and friends, caregivers, physicians, researchers – needs every bit of persistence and advocacy we can muster.” Uncorking the Cure for MS attendees will enjoy catering by Lambrusco’z to Go, Triumph Cellars Wines, live and silent
auctions, a wine pull, and a special concert by local recording artist Cindy Cain and the Red Hot Pokers. Western chic or cocktail attire is requested. Event information and ticket purchase are available at uncorkingthecureforMSok.org or by contacting Pamela O’Briant at Pamela.BakerOBriant@nmss.org or (405) 463-4863. Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.
Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide. In 2014, the Society invested $50.6 million to advance more than 380 research projects around the world in order to stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost, and end MS forever. Through its comprehensive nationwide network of programs and services, it also helped more than one million people affected by MS connect to the people, information and resources needed to live their best lives.

Country Club Drive in Claremore (behind Walmart, next door to Holiday Inn Express). Emcee for this year’s event will be Donna McSpadden. McSpadden’s late husband, the Honorable Clem McSpadden, was one of the most prominent ranchers in Rogers County, as well as state senator, congressman, lobbyist, rodeo announcer and the great nephew of Will Rogers. This year’s event commemorates Will Rogers and honors early ranchers and founding families of Rogers County. One of the founding ranches was the Lipe Ranch, which has remained an active cattle operation, beginning in Indian

Kim Siex is a 33-year veteran of the RV industry and started the new venture with just two employees. In the first five months, Bob Hurley RV had grown to 28 employees and an inventory of over 300 RV units. He has just announced the opening of a 15,000-square-foot PDI (PreDelivery Inspection) facility that will open in January of 2016. The PDI facility will house 26 new bays, bringing the dealership’s total to 54 service bays on the premises. “We will be the only RV dealership in Oklahoma with a PDI facility,” added Kim. The new PDI facility

the Cougar, all at a popular price. Their models are unique with island kitchens, front living rooms, a choice of several bunk house models and toy hauler options. “In short, there’s a perfect Cougar model for your personal tastes.” The American Coach Revolution is a high-end motor home product selling in the $500,000 range. Pets and Carpet Can Go Together to shelter and find forever homes for dogs and cats. Hundreds are adopted each year from its seven-acre parcel on Mohawk Blvd. SPCA’s outreach through the years has expanded to provide a lowcost vaccination service, an ongoing animal cruelty investigation program, weekly pet visitation to residents in 25 area nursing homes (designed to promote the therapeutic animalhuman bond), educational programs on pet care and health, and a safe haven for pets of families during domestic violence episodes. And, of course, there is the mobile adoption center, with space for at least 15 animals to make choosing a new pet more comfortable and convenient. PetProtect® carpet is the first carpet and cushion system designed for pets and their people. This pet-friendly carpeting resists pet stains with a built-in stain resistance that won’t wash off. The STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet and cushion system provides a breathable moisture barrier that helps prevent spills from penetrating the padding and subfloor. It also releases pet hair by reducing attraction between the hair and carpet. According to Grigsby’s Operations Manager Penny Carnino, all STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpeting will be offered at reduced prices through October 24. “This is the ideal time to take a look at this carpeting that could be in your home for the holidays,” she says. Besides being pet-friendly, STAINMASTER® PetProtect® is also kid-friendly. What parent hasn’t worked (to no avail) to
