uly 2021: Summertime in Broken Arrow is truly sweet, and especially when one can spend a day eating endless amounts of ice cream while making lifelong memories with family and friends. It’s time for the Annual Taste of Summer Ice Cream Festival! This refreshing event will take place at The Central Park Community Center, on July 24, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Guests can expect all of the usual favorites, including all-you-can-eat ice cream, fantastic local live entertainment, activities for the kids, food trucks, vendors and new this year, a Get Active Zone, sponsored by Camp Gladiator! This ever-popular festival is hosted by the Broken Arrow Chamber, in partnership with Blue Bell Creameries, 1 800 Water Damage, and the City of Broken Arrow. Tickets are $5 each in advance online, $7 at the gate, ages 2 and under are free. Pre-purchase of tickets online are encouraged and will provide faster entry into the festival. The festival originated as a “thank you” for the community’s support from Blue Bell Creameries, and is still a big part of summer for Broken Arrow, with the Chamber’s help. “This is a Blue Bell driven event, and it is their passion to give back to this community,” said Amber Hinkle, Broken Arrow Chamber Event Manager. “They know how much the Broken Arrow community supports them and they donate all of the ice cream for this absolutely amazing fun, family event.” Many of the volunteers for the event are employees of Blue Bell as well.
