Gleam Guard is an Easy, Affordable Kitchen Upgrade Refinish and renew your cabinets and woodwork with little downtime and at much lower cost than replacement.
S
eptember, 2021: Fall is on its way and with the cooler weather coming in; you can finally get to your home renovation list before the holidays, starting with your cabinets. While cabinets’ purpose is functional, they remain a focal point of the home. Whether your cabinets are peeling, greasy or even
in bad condition, Gleam Guard Wood Refinishing can remedy your woodwork and make it look like new again using eco-friendly and odorless materials with a 5-year guarantee to top it off! They are an A+ Rated BBB Accredited company and offer reasonably priced and highly effective solutions
for restoring and refinishing your cabinetry and woodwork. “We can refinish cabinets that are in really bad shape. We can also clean your cabinets and give them a new, permanent finish,” says owner Tracy Booth. “The Gleam Guard finishes are available in matte, shiny and satin. When we apply our Gleam Guard system, it bonds to the original finish and makes the surface smooth and dry. The process remarkably enhances wood grain and keeps it looking oiled and polished. Old imperfections cannot be seen. This is an ultra low odor process; it is completely safe for even those with serious breathing problems to be in the house.” The entire messfree Gleam Guard process takes only one to two days to complete, so your kitchen can be transformed in time for the holidays. Whole house projects, which include kitchen and bath cabinets, baseboards, doors, moldings, paneling and just about any other vertical wood surface, can be done in three to five days. Tracy’s son, Phillip Booth, manages their Tulsa Metro office along with Jonathan. Phillip and his professional craftsmen are continuing the legacy that Tracy started over 30 years ago. They have perfected their skill, timing and attention to detail. Left: Phillip and Jonathan enjoy making cabinetry look-like new again.

Their process begins by preparing the surfaces with a thorough cleaning to remove dirt and debris and making any reparation of damaged areas. Damaged areas are treated with custom-matched stain blends. Lastly, the cabinets are protected with a coating that will keep cabinetry and woodwork looking fresh for decades. A special over-glazing is used when you want to change the color of the wood. Dust-free and non-toxic, the process works on traditional wood surfaces, along with those which are painted, glazed and pickled. A real big plus is that you don’t have to empty cabinets or remove hardware prior to the process. Each job comes with a free 5-year touch up warranty. “We have customers we served over 20 years ago who say their cabinets still

look great even today. It is because of our hometown people in the greater Tulsa area that we were able to expand and help families across the country beautify their homes, including Kansas City, Branson, Northwest Washington and Canada,” he says. The Gleam Guard crew will be in and out, without interruptions or breakaways. Their work area, when finished, will look like no one was there. Aftercare is as simple as wiping with a damp cloth. Tracy says when people see the difference Gleam Guard has made in friend’s or relative’s homes, they are quite often sold on the process! Even those considering new cabinets or refacing old cabinets frequently decide on Gleam Guard Wood Refinishing instead. It’s the sensible solution that makes a big difference. Gleam Guard often costs clients 70 percent less when compared to other options. “I love to show people how they can save money and still have beautiful wood finishes that look like new,” says Tracy. To complete the makeover, the team can also deep clean rock and stone interior surfaces. A+ Rated Concrete Contractor Meet Kalan Paul, Driveway Specialist, LCI Concrete BY MACY GOODNIGHT
S
eptember 2021: Home improvement is currently trending, and honestly, never goes out of style. However, for obvious reasons, more and more people are increasing their investment of time and money into their sanctuaries, whether for updates, replacements or additions. The first impression of any home is the driveway that leads to the house itself. Add that to the top of the list when making your next improvement investment. One of the most underappreciated parts of a home may very well be the driveway. Incidentally, most people won’t

notice how important this facet really is, until it’s in need of repair. If your driveway is cracked, chipped, stained, or generally in need of renewal, LCI Concrete is your solution. Owner, Kalan Paul, has been in business helping homeowners in Tulsa and surrounding areas alleviate their driveway woes for

over 16 years. “The driveway really is the first impression, and a new one can on average update the look of a home by 20 years,” he said. LCI specializes in driveway concrete replacement for existing and new home builds, and his company has provided over 750 new driveways since 2005. Fully insured, Kalan and his employees have over 70 years of combined experience working with concrete, with full rebar installation. “We always

Oil and other car fluid stains, or peeling and cracks can make the driveway look very unsightly, and can also be a progressive issue that will only get worse over time. Functionality is a priority, as physical hazards such as holes or cracks can wreak havoc on a vehicle and its wheels and tires. Driveway replacement can add to the value of the home and is a good investment. “I don’t think anyone would lose money replacing a driveway,” Kalan said. “It’s amazing what it can do for the look of a home.” LCI takes great pride in the speed at which they are able to complete their work. Removing and replacing 50,000 lbs and
beyond of material requires a great deal of effort! Most homeowners appreciate being able to utilize their driveway as quickly as possible, and they consider this a top priority. “We lead the way as a well-oiled machine,” said Kalan. “In most cases, we show up early, work hard, remove and replace driveways within one day!” Most projects can be completed in one to two days. Their business philosophy focuses on three major points: customer satisfaction, quality workmanship and minimizing a homeowner’s downtime. The quality of work with LCI Concrete speaks for itself, with an A+ rating with the BBB and Angie’s List. “We are the highestrated concrete contractors online,” Kalan said. “That’s a lot to be proud of.” His mission is

In addition, the quick access to the turnpike gives the first responders the ability to reach areas around town very quickly. “We are extremely grateful to our citizens and city leaders for their support and willingness to provide our department with the trucks, stations, equipment, and staffing so we can fulfill our mission of ‘Serving Others,’” said Broken Arrow Fire Chief Jeremy Moore.

uly, 21, 2021: With recent production successes, including hosting portions of the 2021 Academy Award winning film “Minari” as well as the faith-based film “When Will Jesus Return,” the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to announce the City of Broken Arrow has completed 28 |
the requirements for the Oklahoma Film Friendly Community Program and achieved certification becoming the second community in the state to be designated ‘film friendly.’ An OF+MO initiative with a mission to certify film friendly communities across all 77 Oklahoma counties, the Oklahoma Film Friendly Community Program
seeks to provide the necessary resources and toolkit to communities wishing to further benefit from the impact of the state’s booming film and television industry. As a certified film friendly community, the City of Broken Arrow has demonstrated their readiness to position themselves to support future film and television production by designating a film liaison, establishing a film permit and increasing representation of their community assets in OF+MO’s online Oklahoma Locations Directory per the program’s requirements. These assets, which appear on OF+MO’s website and other marketing materials, will now be branded with the official certification seal of the Oklahoma Film Friendly Community Program; likewise, the seal will be provided to Broken Arrow for promotional purposes and their own collateral.
