By Carol Beck-Round Seven employees at Claremore’s SUMMIT Physical Therapy have two things in common: they’re all Claremore High School graduates, and each feels blessed to be back living and working in their hometown. Bret McGuire, DPT and co-owner of SUMMIT, returned to Claremore in 1992 after accepting a job offer from a friend. “I saw an opportunity to see patients from my home community and build a career working in home health and outpatient physical therapy.” A few years later, McGuire and Sean Cox saw an opportunity to impact Rogers County citizens by bringing an expanded (continued on page 26)

For mother and son Kim and Colton Marcotte, “making coffee for the town that loves to drink it” is the reason they are now the new co-owners of Cappuccino Corner in Claremore. Located at 900 E. Will Rogers Blvd, the popular coffee shop changed hands in mid-October. A staple in east Claremore for nine years, you’ll still find a wonderful atmosphere to meet for breakfast, lunch or just a cup of coffee with friends. Kim, who had managed a

Starbucks for almost two years, brings her knowledge and experience to Cappuccino Corner. “Not much has changed as far as the menu,” she adds. Although the menu has been simplified, you’ll still find top-sellers available for breakfast and lunch. “Instead of a buildyour-own, we offer sandwich specials,” she says. The chicken salad – using the same recipe as the previous owner – is still a popular seller. “We also offer a Chicken Chipotle sandwich that (continued on page 26)
