Pets can develop osteoarthritis just like humans do. By Shelly Robinson

By Lorrie Ward Things are moving onward and upward in the Owasso area, and for Adana and Jason Gittelman, business is moving right along with it. The owners of Fit For Her report enormous growth for their fitness center. “Business is better this year than any of the seven-plus years we’ve been open,” says Adana. “We’re flourishing in spite of a bad economy and appreciate our members and staff for getting us here.” The Gittelmans would like to let everyone know about the continuing expansion of their line of nutritional products for everyone. The products are currently displayed in the office suite located next to Fit For Her, and Jason and Adana want to be sure men know they are every bit as welcome as women to visit this shop. “We’ve expanded our supplement business to service both men and women,” Jason says, listing product lines such as VPX, BSN, Giant, CTD Labs,

Metabolic Nutrition, MAN Sports, High Tech, Cellucor and many more. “We guarantee to meet or beat any prices in the local market.” This commitment to providing cost effective health

and fitness solutions is also apparent at Fit for Her, as Adana and her staff of highly qualified personal trainers will now offer group personal training sessions. Adana explains that groups as (continued on page 24)

Just like older humans, older pets can develop osteoarthritis, a chronic degenerative disease that may affect any joint, but is commonly found in the hips, elbows or shoulders. Even the knees, wrists, ankles or spine can be affected by arthritis when cartilage in the joint is damaged through an accident, wear and tear, or a congenital abnormality. Pet owners who are with their dogs on a daily basis may not notice the subtle changes, which include reluctance to take

walks, stiffness that disappears once the pet is moving, and difficulty climbing stairs, into the car or onto a bed or sofa. Other signs are difficulty rising from (continued on page 24)
