Sip, Savor & Shop Visit downtown Claremore on Saturday, May 4 for an evening of food, fun and fright. By Carol Beck-Round Claremore is the place to be for great food, family-friendly fun, free entertainment and much more on Saturday, May 4 as downtown kicks off its Sip, Savor & Shop event from 6 to 9 p.m. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Claremore Main Street, this event will combine the best of local eateries with the best of downtown shopping to encourage people to check out what the area has to offer. For an advanced $10 ticket or $12 on the day of the event, participants will be able to test selections from local eateries that will be set up in various downtown businesses. The Taste

of Claremore will include delicious food from the Hammett House, Boom-A-Rang Diner, Oak Hills Winery,Walke Brothers Meat, the Nut House, Perry Dogs Café, The Pink House, Belvidere Tea Room, Elks Lodge, Papa John’s Pizza, DiamondHead Wine, as well as many more. “Each restaurant will be providing a wide variety of foods from their menus,” says Cindy Bissett, executive director of Claremore Main Street. “We have some unique eateries in our community.” Other activities slated for Sip, Savor & Shop include The Lilac Express, a BNSF Railway
