Get a head start on your finance career in just 5 days. In this focused program, you’ll develop the tools you need to begin a finance career, even if you have no prior exposure to business courses or concepts such as banking, investments or accounting. You will equip yourself with a top-level understanding of complex principles such as financial statements, market efficiency, valuing stocks and bonds and corporate financial policy. Walk away with business acumen as you pursue a challenging and dynamic career.

Richard Willis Professor of Accounting, Associate Dean for the Faculty

Highly regarded by his students, Richard Willis has extensive experience in accounting and financial reporting and a distinguished body of scholarly research. He has been frequently recognized for excellence in teaching, both in the United States and abroad, including the Daimler-Chrysler Award from the Fuqua School of Business and the James A. The purpose of the finance bootcamp is to develop a fundamental understanding of the theory and practice of corporate finance. Students will develop the tools needed to make value-creating investment and financing decisions. Joshua White | Assistant Professor of Finance

Joshua White has been an Expert Consultant and Financial Economist for the SEC. His work has been featured in a variety of financial and legal publications and he has contributed to blog posts for Harvard and Columbia Law Schools and authored White Papers for the SEC. Professor White currently teaches Managerial Finance and Corporate Financial Policy. Larry LeBlanc Professor of Operations Management

Larry LeBlanc teaches Spreadsheets for Business Analytics, Spreadsheet Macros (VBA) for IT Applications, Spreadsheets for Health Care Analytics and Advanced Analytics with Emphasis on Data Visualization. He also teaches non-credit tutorials in spreadsheets. Professor LeBlanc has received many honors and consults for a variety of clients in the areas of forecasting, aggregate production planning, project planning and inventory control.

Classes typically run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Central). Breaks are scheduled in AM, PM and for lunch. Schedule is subject to change.

and sophomores in liberal arts majors who do not have access to finance and business classes

who have a finance internship during the summer and want to better prepare themselves for that experience

who need to expand their knowledge base and experience in order to earn a future internship in finance

who can meet the enrollment requirements: 3.0 GPA and a résumé demonstrating college algebra-level understanding

Cost $3,500 Cost includes tuition, instructional materials, catered breakfast and lunch (all days) and housing.
