How can I tell if I have hearing loss? Because hearing loss usually happens gradually, it can sometimes be difficult to notice if we have it. If you answer ‘yes’ to some of the following questions, you may have hearing loss. • Do you often ask people to repeat what they say? • Do you have trouble hearing in groups? • Does it seem like others often mumble? • Do you fail to hear someone talking from behind you? • Do you turn up the volume on the TV or car radio to the point where others say it’s loud?
• Do you have difficulty on the phone? • Do you have trouble hearing your alarm clock? • Do you have difficulty hearing at the movies? • Do you dread going to noisy parties and restaurants?
