Library Services for Seniors Libraries are a wonderful place to visit at any age. But, did you know that libraries offer many wonderful programs and services especially for Seniors? Library vans make regularly scheduled visits to residents of Senior Living Communities. And, even if you are confined in your own home due to illness, disability or advanced age, the Public Library System can provide free library service, by mail, delivered to your home. Participants may receive library materials that include books in regular or large print, magazines, DVDs or CDs. Specific items may be requested, or staff can select items for you, based on information that you give to them. Material is mailed at no cost to the resident and the mailing bags include a label for free return to the library. Items are checked out for 6 weeks. They may be renewed twice, by request. And there are no overdue fines.
