Endowment Inc. to help establish the Nehemiah Project: Strengthening Historic African American Congregations.

An expected outcome is that the 13 congregations already selected to participate will, with God’s help: Assess their ministries and their communities, then effectively address new challenges and better nurture the spiritual vitality of the people they serve. The outcome can serve as a model for other congregations and ministries to follow.

GOD LISTENERS Jesus says: “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Samuel says: “Speak lord, your servant is listening.” But do you know God can speak to anyone—servant or non-servant, listener or non-listener! These 7 God listener examples explain.

How I Listen to God? Geo9001: God speaks and I listen when one door opens and others close. The mail guy bought 3 different types of mail in one week listing the same job. I had just been laid off and in desperate need of a job. I felt lead to apply for this one. The job led to my extraordinary success in the publishing world.

MrMcKeys: The same sermon topic was preached in my hearing at 2 different churches on the very same day. As a church musician, I heard God speaking directly to me and I listened.

Leader2020: Until this pandemic lockdown came about, I never realized how much I was being distracted and not listening to God’s commandments.

Studentfifty: I was not listening at all. Actually, I was hanging out in some pretty bad places in the worst parts of town. A girl I liked would occasionally ask me to stop by her church. I thought to myself that if I stopped by her church that she would go out with me. When I went to her church, something strange happened on the inside of me. By some power, I made it to the alter and gave my live to Christ. There are still a few bad days but more good ones, lately. Sometimes, my spiritual ear even hears, “the best is yet to come.”
