RALLY UPDATE
ENTRY NUMBERS Folks we have well and truly now hit the 100 with the number of drivers who have registered to do the Highland Fling Rally! Unfortunate as it is, we must now bring the date for closure of entries forward two months to 31 January 2021. The accommodation and catering are now at their max for little old Taihape, with the number of people we will have descending upon their little country town. A few things I would like to bring to your attention please. 1) We are currently holding refunds for the following people and would like to return their monies if they do not intend entering this year. S WINTERBOTTOM, B WASHINGTON, A SHARP, T De LEEUW, T ANDREWS PLEASE NOTE – It is important that if you do want to enter, you fill in a new entry form, as there has been a price increase from the previous entry form for the Sunday evening meal. 2) The following people have paid but we are awaiting their entry forms please B TURNER, J WILSON, F POINTON 3) Some very keen members have sent in entry forms but are yet to pay. (Please advise me asap if otherwise) G BISHOP, C MATHEWS, K KNIELSEN, D HURLEY 4) As well many folks seem to have overlooked the entry fee when filling out their entry forms, therefore not paid the $40. I am sure everyone has a copy of what they have sent us, could you please double check to make sure you have paid that Entry Fee. MEDICAL HELP Another little shout-out please, if we have any doctors or nurses amongst the entrants, we would love to hear from you. We are hoping for an accident-free weekend of any sort, but we need to be prepared just in case someone busts a blood vessel from laughing too much. REGISTRATION & MERCHANDISE Registration will be from Friday evening 4 pm at the Gretna Hotel. For the many folks that have ordered ‘Fling’ apparel, your items will be in your Registration Packs and handed out on arrival. BRIEFINGS Organiser Alastair Jones will be doing his briefings 7.30 am on the Saturday and Sunday mornings outside the Gretna Hotel in Hautapu Street.
