CHAIRMAN’S REPORT The versatility of our members and organisers have been tested and proven over the last couple of months with occasional summer days being mixed in with many winter-like days. Never the less, events listed on our calendar have gone ahead and our thanks are due to those who organised them and those members who supported them in either good, or indifferent weather. All fingers crossed that the weather will be kind on February 7 for The Grand Country Garden Party. The same applies for the Branch Annual Rally on February 27 – 28, early entries for this are helpful for the organisers and close on February 22. Remember the Boot Fair on Saturday 13 February. Please also note that the Scrap Metal Drive has been pushed out one month until Saturday 13 March, so please start placing those metal items to one

side ready for that. Please, no rubbish and definitely no wheels with tyre

ROSS BUTLER Chairman ph 03 352 3160

We receive requests from some of the retirement villages for vintage or old cars to put in an appearance for residents to view, or in some instances to be given a ride, so if you would be prepared to take part in one of these visits, please give your name to Secretary, Rod Thrower. Rod has attended a number of these occasions and says that they can be both fun and rewarding and are much appreciated by the residents. Regards Ross
