Secretary’s Report

AGM for the branch 20th June. Have you put your name forward for any of the jobs that are constantly coming up to fill.

The one that springs to mind this month is the replacement for Don Muller as Noggin Displays Convenor.

Don wishes to spend a bit more of his time in the massive job of the Archives for the club which is a job he and Marlene have taken to heart, and for those who have visited I’m sure you will agree it is impressive.

Regarding the Noggin displays Don has done a tremendous job over the last approx eight years with many nights of very interesting displays. As you know the displays often feature winners of previous months rallies with the occasional out of the box events like pedal cars, member hobbies. Don is prepared to help a new volunteer move into the role where needed. Like all of these roles everybody has different ideas on what would work and what might not, if you think you have the inclination to give it a go Don would love to chat to you.

Further to this Mike Foster is always looking for willing helpers to give up a morning once or twice a month looking after the maintenance of the buildings and grounds, a very rewarding pastime. We all know how the grass and weeds just keeps growing.

So think about it, what can you do to help in what ever small way to make this huge branch of approx 1,200 members keep ticking over and attracting younger members (They are out there with the popularity of Irishman Rally and the gymkhana events proving this).
