The Ross Butler Memorial Grasskhana

A little cool at the 10 am start but it warmed up as the sun shone through . A good array of cars and bikes turned up and several had two drivers. One rider had two bikes, old and not so old. This is not a speed event as such and was judged by the time difference between two runs on each of three courses. Speeds from sedate to furious were chosen by the driver. Some managed exact same times, others were a bit of an oops. Hitting a cone or running it over was a five second penalty. After some friendly encouragement two women were entered and came off each course with a smile all over their face. A good decision to be involved. It would be good to see more women next year. Some competitors needed a navigator to get the course correct which I think was an advantage as the cones start to look the same.
