Lotus consists of many petals that has few different shapes with arch in each of the petals. Therefore, the use of petals as “Size Hierarchy� with the intention “the bigger the size of the petals signify increasingly significant the room underneath. Where the arch of the petals become the shade of the room under.

2 floors mix use building. Combining Cafe and Minimarket located in Semarang, Central Java.
Located near other cafe, the needs to unwrap a new idea that totally different from other’s competitor, interms of design. This site has an ultimate scenery that other cafe didn’t have. Therefore the need to make a building oriented to the view is a must. For the design concept itself came from the name.
in Hawaiian Kai means “sea�
in Hawaiian, Luana means “enjoyment� and be describe as a color yellow.
Based on Kai and Luana, the design concept that will brings tropical breeze into the hill where the building itself oriented to the west that can represent the sunset as the “enjoyment.� ---------

Based on the main view on the top side of the site makes the building oriented into that main view. But, the problem occured when this building orientation become collide with sun analysis. Where the top side is the place where the sun sets. Therefore the potential and the problem become a question, How to solve this?
In this design approach “Sirip� itself will be elaborate into 2 different function.
“reduce the heat of the sun.� “Sirip� works as secondary facade where the need to reduce the heat that went in to the house.
“as a privacy.� Sirip works as the statement on a trantition rooms that moved from public zone into private one. Located on the terrace. The more you enter the private zone, the more wider the “sirip� are from the outside.

Di mana noise (kebisingan), feel (termal), breathe (kualitas udara), dan kualitas air merupakan aspek dalam multicomfort yang menjadi induk bala keresahan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT untuk mengetahui tingkat keresahan masyarakat terhadap keberadaan kawasan industri di wilayah tempat tinggal mereka.
