Ever since I joined Key Club as a freshmen, I looked up to all the officers of 7 South. From public speaking skills, leadership to straight up confidence, I too wanted to be a part of the CNH ohana and go for a leadership position. But truthfully I stayed in Key Club and am where I am today not because of our inspirational leaders (them too of course), but because of service and how I wanted to pursue my passions. I came to love dealing with treasurer work which convinced me to apply for EA on the Division Leadership Team to help foster growth in other
new treasurers and members. From there, I had a new infatuation with graphics and design. Having served on the club, division and district levels, I can definitely say that doubt should never be a reason holding you back!
Key Club has changed me a lot. Before I joined Key Club, I was shy and didn’t really care about serving the community. Then my friend told me to join and I decided “okay I’m going to join Key Club.” Joining was such an amazing experience! I made new friends from all over California, made amazing memories to cherish, and also gained so much experience whether it is growing as a student leader or learning how to perform many different tasks! Key Club is a wonderful club, I certainly did NOT regret joining this amazing family-like club. Everyone who’s not in Key Club thinks that Key Club is some boring old community service club, but in reality we do so many things that help our community and we do get rewarded for it. Our reward for raising money for PTP is going to Fall
Rally North (six flags) to cheer and raise even MORE money to donate! Another reward we get (if you are an active member) is traveling to a different location to celebrate everything we’ve done for a whole year as one big Cali-Nev-Ha ohana. The biggest reward we get, is actually the amazing memories we make throughout everything we do together. So JOIN KEY CLUB! We don’t make keys, but we do open your door to new adventures ((:!!!
