Hello! And welcome to the premier issue of the Vendor Guide, Greater Boston edition! The past year has been challenging to say the least; however, I’m amazed at the innovation that has surfaced allowing us to continue to effectively and professionally conduct business. Property management professionals found ways to lease apartments virtually, keep apartment homes and grounds maintained safely and push capital projects forward despite all the challenges we have faced both professionally and personally. As I gave consideration to taking the leap to publish this resource guide, I thought about the many years I’ve been working in various roles but one thing remained the same. It was always multifamily. I’ve met a lot of people over the years and one thing I’ve learned is that connections mean everything. That’s my ultimate goal in launching Vendor Guide here in New England. To create meaningful, valuable connections for multifamily vendors and suppliers and the fine people we serve. No matter if you are looking for bids for a large project, have an immediate need for drain cleaning or restoration, or gain knowledge from the articles found within, my hope is that you’ll see Vendor Guide as the go-to source for the market. They are expected to rise by more than 50 percent by 2023. Unfortunately, this trend had created a great problem for the multifamily residential industry. Staff who would rather spend their time leasing and managing must now also manage a relentless influx of daily packages. Many apartment community offices simply haven’t got the space for so many parcels! And residents looking forward to enjoying their most recent purchases are often disappointed to return home to find the office closed and locked. There is a simple solution: Locker Solutions, whose secure and user-friendly Luxer One package rooms and locker systems make accepting deliveries and picking up packages as simple as walking up to them.
