This issue should be done since a while now... Yeah, actually, I was supposed to do an interview with the boys at ASG, because I bought my “Motörhead” guitare there. But, somehow, it never happened. And I also wanted to write a text about the Motörhead concert I went at Musilac. Anyway... “It’s ok, I’ll finish it someday...” And, then... You know how things work... One and a half year later, while finishing the new #115 issue, I learned from Ed Templeton’s facebook that Lemmy had passed away. Fuck... What a shock. I thought this motherfucker will never die!? All of sudden, it came back to my mind: “Fuck, actually, I never finished #97, the Motörhead issue?!” So, here we are, and here we go. Full circle. RIP Lemmy. This modest issue is dedicated to you Mr Kilmister. Because you were, such a rad inspiration to me through all those years. Cheers. See you in hell.

I discovered Motörhead in 2000, with Kris Markovich part in the Element Tour Video, and their classic “Ace of Spades”. Like everybody else, I already heard the song before, but never really realised how powerfull and great it was until then. I didn’t understood a word of english back then, but immediately got into Motörhead. Since, I learned a bit of english, and many great parts with Motörhead songs came out. I unfortunately went to only one of their show, but I’ve their discography running pretty much everyday on my computer. And, 2 years ago, I even bought this great ASG-Vision “Motörhead” guitare, #192 out of the 500 made. Potentionmeter, blasted to the max. The only way it should be. I don’t think Sacs à Gnôle would had been the same without Motörhead and Lemmy. Thanks again. Next gig gonna be for you. Rock’n’roll!

There is no better soundtrack to skateboarding than Motörhead to me, period. Just listen to “We are the road crew” for example. It’s exactly what we are living, we, skateboarders during each skatetrip! Powerfull poetry mixed with even more powerfull sound, that was the magic of Motörhead. Yeah, “God was never on your side” Lemmy, but you made it ‘til 70 you son of a bitch! Gone, but never forgotten. Staying true to yourself, humble, and committed ‘til death, isn’t something you can say about a lot of person. Lemmy was one of them. And remember: “If you didn’t do anything that wasn’t good for you it would be a very dull life. What are you gonna do? Everything that is pleasant in life is dangerous.”

“God was never on your side” If the stars fall down on me And the sun refuse to shine Then may the shackles be undone, And all the old words, cease to rhyme. If the skies, turn into stone, It will matter not at all, For there is no heaven in the sky, Hell does not wait for our downfall, Let the voice of reason shine, Let the pious vanish for all times, God’s face is, hidden, all unseen, You can’t ask him what it all means He was never on your side, God was never on your side Let right or wrong, alone decide, God was never on your side. See the ten thousand ministries, See the holy righteous dogs, They claim to heal but all they do is steal, Abuse your faith, cheat & rob. If god is wise, why is he still, When these false prophets call him friends, Why is he silent, is he blind, Are we abandoned in the end? Let the sword of reason shine, Let us be free of prayer & shrine God’s face is hidden, turned away He never has a word to say He was never on your side God was never on your side Let right or wrong, alone decide, God was never on your side. He was never on your side, God was never on your side.
