6 Warning Signs Your Hotel Is Not What It Seems
8 Things You Need to Do in Your Hotel Room
I know we all travel a lot whether we are going to car shows, vacations, or even work. This article came in my email and I would like to share because we all should be aware. Some hotels or rental properties sometimes does not turn out quite as advertised when you see it in person. To avoid that kind of disappointment in the future, watch for these six warning signs that your hotel isn’t quite what it seems.
1. The website is seriously out dated 2. The pictures are heavily photoshopped 3. The reviews on TripAdvisor aren’t good 4. It’s hard to reach a real person 5. Google Maps street view tells a different story 6. It’s listed on the Bedbug Registry
Before you sit down on the bed, take the time to do these eight simple things. Your health and safety may depend on it. 1. Check Hiding Spots Before letting your guard down in your locked hotel room, check these hiding spots to make sure you really are alone: under the bed, in the closet, and in the shower. An intruder could have slipped in before you and could be lying in waiting—or something more gruesome. 2. Make Sure Temperature Controls Work 3. Remove the Comforter Sheets and pillowcases: easy to wash. Bedspreads? Not so much. 4. Unplug or Reset the Alarm Clock Make sure the alarm has been turned off when you arrive in your room. 5. Put the ‘Do Not Disturb’ Sign on the Door Unless you want housekeeping or a turn down service barging in on you unexpectedly, put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door. 6. Study The Fire Escape Map It’s unlikely that you’ll ever need it, but you need to have a plan for how you will get out of the hotel in photo credit: Google images case of an emergency. 7. Check for Bedbugs Scrutinize your mattress, bed frame, and headboard— you’re looking for small brown stains. Bedbugs are hard to see (they hide during the day and can run away quickly when disturbed), but they leave behind brown bloodstains when they process the blood of their victims. Be sure to check under the sheets and mattress pad, too. 8. Sanitized room may look clean but that doesnt mean it’s sanitary.

LEADING THE PACK
Chevy says the wings are incorporated into the car’s structure just like on the Corvette C7.R racecar for added strength and stability. They work well with the front which includes a downforce-enhancing front underwing. Also the front of the corvette is a new design to feed plenty of cool air to the car’s 13 heat exchangers. Amazing right? It’s very clear don’t you think Chevy has learned its lessons from the Z06’s overheating issues?
I had the pleasure of meeting her, Sahar Sadri at the New York Auto Show, April 1, 2018.

Sahar Sadri is one of the woman corvette enthusiasts to travel and speak about corvettes. From my understanding, Chevrolet employs the talents of several presenters who give their own personalized presentation based on the information that is provided by the automaker. She was provided the press release and the next day had her presentation memorized for the start of the Dubai Auto Show. Not only does Sahar represent the Corvette for Chevrolet, she is also the owner of a Corvette Stingray and manages to slip that fact into her presentation as well. I can’t tell you just how impressive the Corvette ZR1 display was. My visit to the NY Auto Show was very exciting and educational. The 2019 Corvette ZR1 is incredible when viewed in person. This is the first time an automatic is being offered in a ZR1. With so much power going through only the rear wheels. As I keep reading and researching I found out that Chevrolet knew the ZR1 was going to need some serious downforce to make full use of all that power. They came up with two packages with a more extreme option that is dubbed with a high wing which is capable of generating up to 950 pounds of downforce. It’s part of a ZTK Performance Package which also includes a front splitter with carbon fiber end caps, Michelin Pilot Sports Cup 2 street tires, specific calibration for the chassis and magnetic ride suspension. The other option is the low wing. From my understanding you will see that the Corvette reaches the highest top speed (which in this case over 210 mph) but offer lower downforce than the high wing option. Amazing! I can’t stop reading. Also, Corvette marks 65 years of production. For 2018, Corvette rides on standard 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels replacing the previous 18-inch/19-inch standard wheels.

Now, let’s talk about the color. The Sebring Orange Design package. In addition to a bright orange exterior color, the package also includes orange brake calipers, orange rocker and splitter accent stripes, orange seat belts, orange interior stitching and bronze aluminum interior trim. Unique right? As you will see in the photos, there’s full leather trim, a carbon fiber steering wheel, sport seats, a performance data recorder, and a Bose sound system. The new ZR1 was previewed here at New York Auto Show where I learned much more about this exciting corvette.
Did you know that the corvette was originally due earlier this year as a 2018 model but plant upgrades at the Corvette’s Bowling Green Kentucky location of the 2018 model year for the Corvette was cut short. Yes, I know right! Last thing, Here are a few key details about the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1:
1. It packs some serious horsepower. Under the hood is an absurdly powerful engine: The GM LT5 is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque which is the highest output ever coming from a Chevrolet production vehicle. 2. It’s ready to handle the track. Heavy breathing. All Corvettes feature an innovative suspension called Magnetic Ride Control which means it ultimately allows for multiple shock stiffness settings just in case you’re interested in taking the ZR1 to the track. 3. It’s wind tunnel-tested. With that said, it came with massive vents and spoilers. There will be no confusing the ZR1 from any other C7 Corvette from my understanding that is. That wild form is a product of function as they added body component that create downforce. This will allow the car to have plenty of grip. 4. You can drop the top. This corvette is the first time since the original ZR1 (which was in 1970) to have this range topping Corvette is available as a convertible. GM claims the top adds 60 pounds to the curb weight compared with the coupe. The top lowers at speeds up to 30 miles per hour via an in-vehicle switch or remote. 5. It costs six-figures. The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will cost $119,995, while the convertible comes in at $123,995. I bought the product at a car show in, Maryland in October but didn’t try it until the next car season. What made you decide to become a dealer? June ~ After I tried the product on my wind shield, I said those magic words ‘WOW That’s It”. I was so impressed with What benefits have you experienced since becoming a dealer June ~ As a dealer I’ve been able to sell the product at shows, where I’ve met many car enthusiasts. What kind of car do you have June ~ I own a 1981 Corvette and a 2006 Mustang. I use the products on both my cars.
