Belle and Beau Program is geared for young girls and boys from ages 7 to 10. The purpose of the program is to mentor children who have an interest in someday competing in or working on the Miss Mississippi Competition and promoting community service. The current Miss Mississippi Competition local titleholders serve as mentors to their belles and beaus and all Magnolia Belles and Beaus participate in some aspect of the stage production numbers which are part of a major live television show. The belles and beaus have the opportunity, as provided by the local directors and local titleholders, to be part of their respective titleholder’s year. They are encouraged to attend assemblies and meetings where the local titleholder speaks and/ or performs. The local titleholder is encouraged to engage the belles and beaus in any activity that she can to make them feel a part of her year as they prepare for the Miss Mississippi Competition.
