WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:

Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection? (Maximum 100 words) The technical difference between Pictoral space of perspective and Projection is the absence of a vanishing point. In Pictoral space, it depends on a single point of view, seemed to freeze time and motion; in Projection, it suggests a continuous space in which element are in constant motion. Perspective records what already exists, whereas axonometric projection construct that which does not exist.

Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? (Maximum 100 words) Axonometric projection ariginally came from the abstract and instrumental world of the technical disciplines, does not pretend to map vision. It is concerned instead with construction and consistency of measurement.
