Introduction
Project Discription Do you feel inconveniently when you have to bring some stuff when you go to the hospital? Normally, when people go to take examination, they need to bring medical record, health insurance, prescription, birth certificate or identical card. Especially, some elder are forgetful, sometimes they forget some of these stuff and they have to come back home to take it. It will take a lot of time of them. Moreover, when going to the hospital, patients have to queue for a long time to wait until their turn. Furthermore, in some hospital, when doctor examine for their patient, they must waste time to rummage papers to review their medical information of patient. Base on these problems, we create medical record online system – MEDICORD.

Website Introduction MEDICORD is a system of storing medical record. The system is the collaboration between Vietnam Ministry of Health with us. This is the improvement and changes in the storage of medical record online. MEDICORD helps doctors tracking the patient’s condition quickly. In addition, patients can view their medicord record without having to go to hospitals. Otherwise, this system is the connection between all the hospitals in Vietnam.

Concept Outline
Our Concept This medical record online system is smart systems, which helps patients, doctor and staffs feel more conveniently when going to the hospital. Furthermore, it also give users which medical information they want wherever and whenever.

Analysis
Potentials In The Market According to Le Hao (2015), Ministry of Health Vietnam and Government have invested a lot of money to improve the facility, infrastructure and quality of nationwide hospitals; in order to improve the productivity as well as the efficiency in serving patients. This trend in the industry will potentially generate the demands for software and technology; which strengthen hospitals’ ability not only in disease diagnostics but also in patient database management. There are already many software companies and hospitals introduced their patient information management such as Hanel, Nano-Hospital 4.0 or Hoan My hospitals. However, those programs are still very complicated and low accessibility. They are only available to access by hospitals, doctors and the information is not well updated.

Potentials In The Market Base on the survey in 2015, 82% of surveyors would like to have for themselves an Identity mag-card which contain all information regarding their name, DOB and medical record. The age range and occupations of surveyors are variety, which indicate very high demands of people on a high technology tool to simplified their process when they go to hospitals. Therefore, for those demands and trends, Medicord will potentially succeed due to its friendly surface, highly accessibility and open environment with users inside and outside of the hospitals.

Scope The scope of web app will be the big hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City in the first year. They are University Medical Center HCMC, 115 Hospital, Cho Ray Hospital and National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. Those hospital and institute have huge amount of patient’s database which potential to use the web app to storing information.

Strategy 1. Survey Using the survey to collect the opinion of patients in hospital to understand their inconvenient when carry all the examination results every time they come to hospital; and their expectation, priorities and needs for software that help them record history of patients.
2. Focus group Gather a group of hospital’s Head of Department to get their opinion, understand the operational administration of hospital and the model they want from the app.
3. User testing . Test the app on a group of patient and doctors to help them understand how the app work and its main functions. . Test the app in the hospital by choosing one department for 2 months to adjust the performance (patient’s attitude, doctor’s feedback, doctor’s productivity) . If the second testing stage was going well, the app will be applied for more departments in the hospital. 12

The necessity of training doc tor/receptionist for the first time because this program is still new to them. Therefore, hospital staffs need time to get use to it. Hospitals may need to spend time and money for the training.

Medical record online is new form and new concept with Vietnamese patients. It will take time to introduce and explain the functions and advantages for them.

Some companies such as Hanel or Nano-Hospital 4.0 already established this kind of software and been used by hospitals for years. Therefore, it would be difficult to convince hospitals to switch to Medicord

In recent years, hospitals in Vietnam have tried to computerize and simplified their process and database. This is the new trend which has been received many supports from the Government.

According to the survey in 2015, 83% of surveyors would like to have the Identity mag-cards which contain all their needed personal information when they go to hospitals. So, the demands from both sides of hospitals and patients are very high and show some significant opportunities for Medicord to develop.

Swot Analysis 2. Threats .
Internet issues, frauds and web hackers: due to low security network of Vietnam, this will be the most concern for patients, hospitals and Medicord to protect and privatize personal information in the database.

There are two elements to compare between Health check record to companies provide software and hospital: the ease of accessing information and the design Health check record has simple, clean design and also easy to access to the information. Hospital is the next position with clean design, provide the guide for users but still difficult to access to information. Software from companies is the lowest position one, because they are complicated and almost inaccessible with users outside of the hospital. 19
Audience
Target Audience Medicord website has 3 different targets .
Doctors The one who give diagnostic for patients, input patient’s record and prescriptions.

Patients The one who get access to their own medical records by using their ID number to keep track on the therapy.

Receptionists The one input the data as doctors’ request but don’t have the authorities to modify the data and information.
The survey that we did to identify the needs of medical record system from customers, which indicate the number of people who usually forget their medical records and would like to have some kind of substitution such as an ID mag card. The data has been collected from different people at different age level and also different occupation. (Appendix)

Dr. Bao
Mrs. Mai
Dr. Bao is an internal doctor with huge experience for 20 years in Binh Dan Hospital. Now, he is 57 years old and he is father of 4 children. Everyday, he receives average 60 patients with complicated case history. Moreover, he also has clinic at his home. After his work, he comes back home and treats for patients whenever they come. Thus, he rarely has free time for taking a rest. However, in recent months, he always has headache and he is forgetful, so sometimes, he misses information of patients. His wife worries a lot for her husband’s health.
Mrs. Mai is a receptionist of Van Hanh Hospital. She is 30 years old. Her work is receiving case story of patients and filling the forms. Everyday, she receives about 100 to 200 patients. Her work requires accuracy and rapidity because the patients don’t want to wait too long. The case history of patients is so complicated, so she sometimes misses the information of the patients. It will lead to giving wrong medicine or other serious results. Hence, she always feels under high pressure when she receives a huge amount of patients. 22

Mr. Vinh
Mr. Vinh is retired businessman. Now, he is 70 years old. He always has deep solicitude for his health. Every month, he comes to hospital to check his health. He is the aged, so when he goes to hospital, he always forget his health record, health insurance or identity card. Each time he forgets, he has to come back to home to take these stuffs, so it wastes a lot of time. His relatives have to help him to repair and take him to the hospital. Thus, he always feels sorry when he disturbs his relatives or his children.

Scenarios
Dr. Bao
Since the day launching a new system for medical record, Dr. Bao feels easier in exanimate patients. Now he just needs to ask his patients for their ID card number to type in the system then everything relating to them all there. The website is quite clean with a very simple design that makes Dr. Bao easily take information he wants. He can see their basic information such as name, BOD, height, and so on at the first page and all their medical history or sign of an illness from at the second page. Remembering about the day he exanimate a girl, she used to get a gynecological disease therefore she was quite shy to tell about her problem. It took Dr.Bao a long time to persuade her to talk about that. Hence, having the new system makes Dr. Bao more convenient in checking their medical history without avoiding asks for sensitive diseases.

Mr. Vinh
Mrs. Mai looks happier when checking information from patients this morning because the new systems help her lots. It removed so many steps that she have go through before such as checking if the patient fill the forms right, if they prepare enough their personal papers or if they have any health insurance and so on. Now everything she do is typing their ID card number then the system will automatically discern the patient who have health insurance or not or who are in the priority then print out the numbers for patients.
From the day the Government change a new ID card which can record all the personal information including personal record, Mr. Vinh now doesn’t have to worry about forgetting his papers every time go to the hospital. He just need to his ID card or remember his ID card number to tell to the doctor. Also, he doesn’t need to remember with medicine that doctor gave to him last time because his previous prescription was recorded in the system already. He’s now feeling more convenient and happier because he doesn’t have to disturb.

Branding MEDICORD is a website dedicated for medical, therefore we decided to create a simple logo, which is easy to remember and recognize. Firstly, we inspired by the heart beat rate, that people usually think about health. Then, we developed into the new heart beat rate as above. In addition, the heart beat rate is also the stylized from the letter M (MEDICORD).
The main color of the logo is blue for white page and white for blue page with Franklin Gothic font

Color Palettle We choose BLUE and WHITE as a main color for Medicord because they will bring a clean and cool look for our website. That helps the users feel relax every time using our system. MONOCHROME is the color schemes we aim at. We believe this schemes will create a professional look for our website.

National Identity Card Base on this website, people can use up their identity card. Instead of creating new card just using for this website, now we connect between this online systems and national identity card. To log in this website, users just use their ID number to log in. Moreover, in the backside of ID card, it also has magnetic stripe, thus, it can helps the blind can log in their account easily. By this way, we make ID card is more useful and enhance value of ID card.
