Thank You for Supporting Local Reminding YOU of the importance of supporing locally owned businesses is akin to preaching to the choir. Look at you now—taking the time to read these words and peruse this publication for giving ideas. You are an independent bookstore shopper. You already undertand that you vote with your dollars every day by deciding to shop locally. You know that your purchases support a local tax base which funds roads, schools, and first responders. You appreciate that our philanthropic efforts are community-based. And we understand that you have choices and want to say THANK YOU for choosing us. It's not just bookstores! Your local clothing store, arts and crafts store, grocery store—all are local businesses who help to create community. With local variety, our city stays unique and more vibrant—the livable place we love and want it to stay. November 28th is Small Business Saturday– a day dedicated to reminding consumers to keep thier purchasing dollars in their community. Not that you need reminding, and for that, please know that you are making a difference and appreciated.
