It seems that we are being challenged in a way like never before and we can either adapt, support and innovate or just give in. I suppose it’s sink or swim time?

Planted a few onions and leeks yesterday and the rain last night have settled them in nicely. Hope the pigeons leave them alone! The mission is to circle over the house of the grand old veteran of the last world war who, on his own initiative, inspired so many people to donate a huge some of money to support the efforts of the NHS in their efforts to combat you know what. Just shows what can be achieved by the individual and society when rising to these gigantic worldwide challenges we now are experiencing. Although the future is certainly not as secure as we previously hoped and significant challenges will inevitably arise for the individual and the way society is organised, there is one aspect of human nature which can help us, and that is we are adaptable and innovative and we have the potential to come together especially during difficult times. One thing is certain, we will certainly be tested in the coming days. So many people have been surprised at all the birdsong this spring and indeed they have helped to take our minds off all the terrible statistics we are hearing at the moment.
