A Spiritual Visit to Synagogue Members of the Inter Religious Organisation (IRO) of Singapore were invited to a lecture by Rabbi Mordechai Abergel who is the spiritual leader of Singapore's Jewish community. The Rabbi gave an explorative

minimart and kosher restaurant called Awafi. There are a total of four Rabbis here. The Chief Rabbi said that the role of the Synagogues in the Jewish Community today remains largely the same as it was in the past.

A Spiritual Visit to Synagogue
The members were taken round the Synagogue. It has some beautiful ancient architechtural patterns inside the hall. Neatly arranged benches and chairs welcome us inside with the altar
tastefully decorated. The three flowing screens are inscribed with holy words from Torah. There is a separate sitting arrangement on the first floor balconeys for the women followers.
It is regularly conducting Sunday school classes as well as some music lessons. Rabbi M Abergel’s answers to the questions from the floor were indeed illuminating about Judaism.
Reunion and Reflections The International Multi Cultural Organisation (IMC) organised a festive gathering – 'Reunion & Reflections’ at Furama Riverfront Hotel on 5 Feb 2017. The Gathering sought to hold a joint celebratory observance of the Chinese New Year season; enhance interfaith fellowship and reiterate the need for regular refreshers on good values. Annual Dialogue and Friendship Dinner at Turkish Cultural Centre
The Turkish Cultural Centre in Singapore organised the 17th Annual Dialogue and Friendship Dinner at Royal Plaza on Scotts on 7 February 2017. Swami Nirmalatmananda the Minister-in-Charge of the Ramakrishna Mission’s Brazil Centre was in Singapore in January 2017. He spoke at the Temple hall on the occasion of Swamiji Jayanti. He also took a Skype Class for the devotees of the Vedanta Association of Thailand in Bangkok.
