Lee May mini, summer registration begins this week BAYTOWN, TX – Registration for the 2013 May mini and summer sessions began Tuesday, March 19, and students are encouraged to act quickly to meet college requirements and deadlines. “The May mini-mester is an intensive three-week session extending from May 13 - 30, in which students are limited to one class registration,” explained Lee College Registrar Becki Griffith. “The benefit of the May mini is that it provides students with the opportunity to earn up to three hours of college credit in a condensed amount of time.” Summer Cosmetology classes also begin May 13, Griffith added, while Summer I classes begin June 10. “Five-week Summer I classes end July 11, and 10-week classes end Aug. 15,” she continued. “Summer II classes begin July 15 and extend through Aug. 15. Given new state and college requirements, including meningitis vaccinations and orientations, it is important students register early. Waiting until later in the registration period is not advised. The last day to register depends on the class or classes a student wishes to register for; late registration— registration after the first date of a class session—is not allowed.” For additional information regarding May mini and summer classes, contact the Office of Admissions and Records at 281.425.6393.
