Robert was born in Hull, Texas Aug. 20, 1932 to George LeNormand and Nancy Palmer. He lived in Batson for 44 years and worked as a roughneck for Mosley Enterprise of Batson. Leona P. Reed, 82 passed away at her home Thurs., March 21, 2013. Leona was born in Baytown, April 3, 1930, the daughter of the late George Washington Golden and LaVada Lee Hicks. She was a nurse for many years at the Baytown Hospital. She loved her church. She loved to cook for her family. She read and studied her bible and she was known as a prayer warrior. She loved to travel and she and her husband took their grandchildren on many trips with them as they grew up. She loved her seven granddaughters very much and helped take care of them when they were young. She will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her. Her parents as well as a brother Jack Golden preceded Leona in death. Leona P. Interment will follow in Wells Memorial Cemetery. Laurice Adrian Lloyd, Sr. was born Nov. 11, 1940 to the Late Mose Rabon and Jesse Maude Johnson in Liberty Hill, La. Laurice later moved to Texas and attended Colbert class of 58’. He met and married Betty Joe Robinson and to this union two children were added and three were born. Laurice was a truck driver, pipefitter, and restaurant owner. He worked for Lowe Oil Company where he retired. Laurice worked for Brown and Root and after few years of retirement, he went to work for Bobtail Express while helping his kids run a restaurant. He worked at Bobtail Express until his illness prevented him from working. Laurice gave his life to Christ and sang in the choir under the leadership of Amos Horton at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He later moved his membership to Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church, L. C. Speights Pastor. Laurice enjoyed playing card, dominoes, talking noise, and his family. He loved sports and coached women’s baseball, the Tigerretts, alongside Mrs. Frankie Lee Prater. His parents, father Mose Rabon (Lola) and mother Jesse Maude Baldwin, ex-wife Betty Lloyd, two brothers: Mose Rabon, Jr. and Therion Rabon, sister Odessa Nelson, two aunts: Erma Lee Grays and Ira Lee Johnson, and two uncles: Buddy Johnson and Bill Johnson preceded him in d eath.
