Mondays, April 29-May 20, 7-8:15pm, Sawmill Campus Contact: Myra, myra.gaiters@vineyardcolumbus.org Childcare: Not Available Leviticus doesn’t make much sense to 21st century ears. It feels old, odd, and downright useless to one's faith in Christ. Some of you have tried reading the bible through in a year and you eventually bump into the book. And this is where the wheels fall off for many people trying to make it from Genesis to Revelation. This can be a difficult book to navigate and leaves one with all sorts of questions: What’s with all the sacrifices? What’s the point of the clean and unclean? As a follower of Christ, why even bother reading this outdated book? In these four sessions, Pastor Scott Engebretson will teach how the book of Leviticus fits into the whole Old Testament, how it provides a framework for the continuing journey of the Israelites, and finally how this books shapes our understanding of God, our role of Christ followers, and provides a framework for the Christian’s journey as well. After these sessions, Leviticus may still feel odd, but you’ll understand the book in a new way. Come join us!
