The second photograph shows a 1923 Model T Ford owned by Ron Sew Hoy who was a past member of the Waimate Vintage Car Club when he farmed in the area. This is also an original Waimate vehicle once owned by the Burgess family of Morven, where Ron acquired it. The Model T was the first Model T Ford sold in Waimate by Callanders’ Garage who had the Ford agency locally.

CHAIRMANS REPORT
Hi guys.
Everything seems to be happening so fast these days. Xmas is nearly upon us seems to be plenty to do before then. 29th of November the waimate VCC we were taking the senior citizens club for an outing to the white horse but unfortunately we had to postpone this to a later date Waimate Xmas parade is coming up on the 3rd of December. Hopefully there will be some members that can support this . Our Xmas party for the members will be held on the 11th December. We are going to have a run first then gather at Waihao Forks Hotel at 12.30pm for a buffet lunch. $10 per head will be paid by the club for those members who attend. Refer club captains report for details.
There will be no meeting in December so the next meeting will be on the 19th January at 7.30pm. We will be discussing the support for the motorbike rally to be held on the 21st of January 2023. Watch this space I might have a big bike myself. Thank you to Jim Broaden for bringing along a CD for us to watch. It was a very good movie. We need more ideas for activities on meeting night's. Thanks to all members for supporting the club this year. See you at the Xmas party otherwise have a merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
Cheers guys
Owen.
