Hi to all members.
Well we are there again. December or Xmas depends on which way you want to look at it. Another year rolls around. Has been a busy time but didn't stop Oamaru club from taking the Tea Pot back .
Congratulations to Oamaru for retaining the Teapot. Thanks to Oamaru members for taking part in the Rally. It was a great run which we all enjoyed. A bit disappointing on Waimates attendance on the day but fully aware that there was other functions on as well. Thanks to Peter Bland for organizing the run.
13 of our members attended our Xmas run to River T winery. Excellent day and venue. Thanks to those members that were able to come along.
For those who have a motorbike the Kickstart Rally is our next event in 2025 followed by the Wallaby Rally in February. 6th of December is our next raffle day at the supermarket. I'll see you there.
The only thing left to say is Merry Xmas and a happy new year to all members. Be safe and to those members that are not feeling very well a speedy recovery.
Next meeting is 16th January 2025. Cheers. Owen
2025 Teapot Rally
On Saturday 9th November the annual Tea Pot Rally competing for the tea pot against North Otago VCC was held
Peter Bland had done a great job on the rally route we had to follow and we all enjoyed a slightly different format, Thanks Peter North Otago won the trophy which was not surprising as only 4 members turned up from Waimate and we were out numbered by the large numbers from North Otago.
We managed to feed and water our vistors and send them away victorious .

On Sunday the 24th 13 club members enjoyed a leisurely drive out to the Kurow winery for lunch.
The setting was great sitting outside overlooking the grape Wines and combined with a great selection of platters , pizza and of course a wine or two, a great day was enjoyed by all.
