From the chair…
What a great turn out there was for our picnic at Ruth’s beach.
It was a very enjoyable and relaxing day.
You have now received a copy of the discussion paper for the proposed new club constitution which will be required by Dec 2025.
We will be discussing this at our Feb meeting on the 14th so Keith can take our thoughts to the March executive meeting.
We wish all those who have health issues, a speedy recovery or if you have a longer term problem, our thoughts are with you and we do hope to see you at coming events.
Well that’s all I have for now.
Enjoy safe and happy motoring and see you at coming events
Cheers.
Win
Many thanks to Ruth for letting us have our picnic there and to Robyn for organizing the sausages etc, Tom and Steve for doing the cooking and also to Margaret, Stephanie & Judy for wiping away the tears, as they peeled all those onions.
Times have changed, as Vince and Naomi used to have their Overland full of their children and now it is full of their grandchildren. Great to see.
Northern Club Captain’s Report
Welcome to the New Year to all our Club Members.
The Far North has never looked so green but we are over this rain. At least there will be no dust for a while!
We started the year with a picnic at Ruth Reid’s beach, which saw 30 members and 8 vintage cars - a great turn out and once again, a big thanks to Ruth, for the privilege of using this facility.
Our next Rally is the Far North Captain’s run on the 11th Feb.
We will meet at the Mitre 10 car park Waipapa, at 10 am, for morning tea before we start our trek. It will be ending with a lunch stop about 1pm, this is a pay your own way, lunch.
There is an alternative route for those wishing not to travel on gravel roads, of which there will be several kms. Hope to see you all taking part.
TomLove seeing the grandkids enjoying the water, along with several grownups. And watching lots of socialising going on.
Special thoughts and best wishes to our Members who are currently working through health challenges.
