Thank you all for a great day.

I wish to acknowledge the generous donation by Bob Jenkins, to our library. It includes 1955/56 copies of "the practical motorist and motorcyclist", copies of which we don't have and a 1947 Autocar magazine issue. Greatly appreciated Bob.

While we are on the subject of the library, that is what it is, a library, where people can go and access written material of interest, or sit and enjoy the ambience, whilst reading.

IT IS NOT A STOREROOM. So please stop filling it with chairs. I am not the first librarian to express disdain at this practice.

There may well be events that chairs may have to be stored, if in the library, don't be lazy , but remove them after the event, as it makes it awkward for club members to access the library shelves.

Your desisting in using the library as a storage room will be appreciated by all who use it.

Yours Faithfully, Murray Bain.

North Otago V.C.C. Librarian.

Hello Flingers,

Friday 25th April 2025, collect rally packs from The Stockyard Restaurant and Café 50 Manchester Street, Feilding from 4pm.

The Fun Starts on Saturday 26th April early morning at the Tui Brewery Mangatainoka between Woodville and Pahiatua, this is approximately ONE HOUR’S drive from Feilding. The driver’s briefing will be at 8.15am, the first car away soon after.

Make no mistake folks this is going to be a BIG day; the rally route alone will be 160ish miles. There will be a toilet and BYO morning tea stop at approximately the 2 hour mark. Make sure you carry extra fuel, mud/snow chains, tow rope and all food/drink provisions for the day.

We have four farms to go through and the Puketoi Range to cross twice, you will be traveling through some very rugged country with lunch at Akitio Station which is just up the road from Akitio Beach.

Sunday we will start from the Coach House Museum in Feilding, Driver’s briefing will be at 8.00am first car away 8.30am. We will be heading north towards Rangiwahia, I am currently waiting for the ground to dry out to go and explore three big farms. Lunch will be either in Rangiwahai or Apiti, then we still have some unexplored back roads to use to get back to Feilding via our favourite ford (the only usable one in the area), to have you back in Feilding approximately 3pm.

Final dinner and prize giving will be back at the Feilding Civic Centre with the usual haggis ceremony to start along with a buffet dinner to follow with a revised menu from last year.

Trailer parking will be available on request, please advise if you require. Any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks to our sponsors!

Christmas Meal

December Mid month run

Now that summer is here (sort of ! ) John Gale had organized a picnic run for us. After leaving the club rooms we had a pleasant drive through the wonderful North Otago countryside to our destination, the Gemmells crossing reserve, a lovely sheltered spot for our picnic. We parked our cars in a circle, this made for a great setting that we all enjoyed. Thank you John, looking forward to your next run.
