MARCH 2011 - Spring is the time for reorganizing, renewal, and yes, real estate, as sales and listings usually start picking up after the long winter months. This January saw a balanced market, with number of properties listed for sale and number sold both slightly above the 10-year average for this month. “There was a healthy balance between the number of home buyers and sellers in our market in January, but there’s always variation in activity from region to region,” said Jake Moldowan, president of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. “We’re seeing strong sellers’ market conditions in areas like the west side of Vancouver.”
