APRIL 2013 - Spring is a long drawn-out affair in Vancouver, with what seems like many starts and stops before it begins in earnest. When it finally arrives, however, it gives people an immediate uplift in energy. The real estate market usually responds positively as well. While we’ve all read reports of a softening market here, many people feel that Vancouver still has lots of room to grow. A recent report from UKbased real estate consultants Knight Frank points to a growing number of mobile, wealthy individuals. In 10 years, there will be 50 per cent more people on the planet with more than $30 million (US) in net assets. This demographic, the report notes, will drive demand for luxury real estate. High-end
