The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver reported both higher sales and more home listings in September 2009 over the previous month. This is a good time for sellers, as demand remains strong, but also for buyers as more choices are available on the market. This September had the second-highest ever recorded number of sales for this month. The board also reports a recovery from the decline in home values that occurred in 2008, and sales figures from cities across Canada show that Vancouver at this time has the strongest real estate market in the country.
