Henry Watts School of Professional Studies direct reports include:  Director of Nursing and Allied Health Executive Director of the Lighthouse direct reports include  Director of Study Away  Director of Career Development  Director of Undergraduate research Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Chosen by the VPAA, the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (AVPAA) is a senior faculty member who assists the VPAA in developing a strategic plan for academic affairs, formulating and managing an annual budget, promoting faculty professional development, superintending the curriculum, and generally overseeing the affairs of the University. The AVPAA reviews, approves and reports on faculty development funding, including internal conference funding and summer research grants as well as external support opportunities such as the Mednick and Fulbright grants; facilitates nomination materials for internal and external teaching and scholarship honors; oversees Summer Session and January Term; participates on various institutional committees such as the Academic Council; and presides at campus events in place of the VPAA. The AVPAA also serves as the Chief Assessment and Accreditation Officer for Academic Affairs. In this role, the AVPAA organizes and oversees the University’s comprehensive system of program assessment, 3
