Editor’s Note I started this magazine because of the overwhelming amount of censorship levied against people like myself who relentlessly promoted Black Business and Black Economic Improvement. I’ve had my account suspended because Facebook claimed I was posting too often. FYI, I only repost positivity across my public time line. I’ve seen videos with millions of views on Facebook that only promote violence and/or sex so that lead me to the conclusion that Facebook isn’t the best platform for reaching out to the people who matter the most. I know you support Black businesses all year round already but let’s make a more concerted effort to support more Black businesses during the holiday season. Please tell the store owners that you saw their ad in Visit Black Houston Magazine when you call or visit them. They will be most appreciative. You also might qualify for special discounts when you tell businesses that you heard about them through Visit Black Houston Magazine. There are Black businesses that sell clothes, shoes, cosmetics, lotions, cooked food, fruits, vegetables, and more. We have options now and we’re leading the wave of presenting these options to you. Please send any suggestions, testimonials, or questions to Elevation@VisitBlackHouston.com and I will be sure to get back with you. We’re currently looking for guest writers and experienced sales people to add to our growing team. This magazine is more of your magazine than it is mine. It only exists because there is a demand for it. Make sure you check page 7 for locations of where you can find Visit Black Houston. We actually have a lot more locations than this and you can find a complete list in online version of this magazine. Starting in December, we will begin to offer print services in conjunction with our videography and photography services to better serve our clients. In conclusion, I am honored to be able to serve the Pan-African Community and I grateful for this first year in publication. “When you want to go somewhere fast, go alone, when you want to go somewhere far, get a partner.”

November
by I.I.I. Muse
S
o… here we are already, at the next to the last month of the calendar year. This year flew by, didn’t it? The month of November holds many secrets that are essential to our spiritual well-being. For starters, it is the only month that holds the vibration of a master number, 11. As a double of the number 1, this number speaks to the spiritual amplification of individual uniqueness, unity, and universal love. There couldn’t be a better time to align with your higher consciousness of all there is around you, and how your individual greatness can contribute to the greater good of the whole. Guard your thoughts always, but focus harder on doing so during this month, as all you think will attract to you faster with these heightened energies at play. 2017 is a one year all its own, so November’s connection to this year will triples the vibration of the number 1. Unity is something that must always be on the forefronts of our minds as a people. Many will feel connections with spirits of the ascended, or what mainstream society calls “angel messages.” As long as the messages are conducive ones, November is an ideal time to act on personal revelations received from these messages. You see, the day following Halloween, a day that celebrated

spirits of the dearly departed, the number one triples as 11/1 on November’s first day... November’s mystic secret behind this is that on the day of the triple 1, the invisible wall between the realm of the living and the realm of the ascended is the thinnest, thus allowing the communication with our ancestors to be the most clear. Allow the lessons their lives teach to speak to your being, as where you’re headed becomes a lot more clear when you reflect on where you’ve been...genetically. Veterans’ Day falls on the 11th of this month (there goes that master number again), so as we are taking in the lessons of our ancestors and giving thanks, let’s not forget the heroes that still walk among us, having laid their lives down to protect us by serving in our nation’s armed forces. November’s mastery also marinates in the gratitude vibrations of autumn equinox, which explains much about families and friends gathering for Thanksgiving feasts. While aligning with your future, don’t forget to give thanks for the harvest you have! Astrologically, November houses both Scorpio and Sagittarius energies….the deepest of waters gives way to the blue, the hottest part of fire’s flame. Give the people born under this sign some extra love, as they are also serving as a reminder to us all to explore the deepest of our inner waters to aim our arrows higher. Mars (rules Scorpio) puts thoughts into aggressive action, Pluto (also rules Scorpio) regenerates the work of Mars, and Jupiter(rules Sagittarius) expands the deed...all under a month of spiritual mastery. I can’t speak for you, but the power this month holds is blowing my mind just writing about it...and to top it off, the original meaning of word November is...9. Hmm. *footnote: Minus the poem and this line, this article is 3,044 characters... summing up to the number 11 again! Visit Black Houston Magazine |9

A Black History Reader
by Dr. Claud Anderson , the Creator of Powernomics©
A Black History Reader: 101 Questions You Never Thought to Ask is a stunning, behind-the-headlines account of how America arrived at the racial tipping point where it finds itself today. In this brilliant book, Dr. Claud Anderson, best-selling author, noted political strategist and entrepreneur, explains why race is such an enduring problem in America and why the country is embroiled in issues of the Confederacy, slavery, immigration, athletes taking-a-knee and a myriad of issues based on race and racism. Written in a Q & A format, the book is an easy read and the 101 answers he presents in A Black History Reader reflect the unique background and perspective that will make this, and have made his other books, PowerNomics: The National Plan and Black Labor, White Wealth, national best-sellers and text books continuously for more than 20 years. The author’s words jump off the page from the very beginning as he explains that a key purpose of the book “is to guide the reader through the nation’s Constitution-based social construct that established and fixed the racial relationship between Blacks and Whites from the foundation of the country.” In A Black History Reader, the answers are not based on traditional thinking, are often startling, always intellectually stimulating and engage the reader page after page. Some answers are whimsical and showcase Dr. Anderson’s noted wit to bring the truth home for both his new and loyal readers. The following is a sample of the provocative questions Dr. Anderson answers in this new book: * Why is there such hatred towards Black people? * How did it become politically correct to exclude Blacks and Blackness? 10 | Visit Black Houston Magazine
Please let the business owners know that you found them in Visit Black Houston Magazine * Where are the Black leaders? * Is America now or has it ever been a color-blind society? * Should Congress repay Black families the $50 million stolen from the Freedman’s Banks? * Should Blacks ally with liberals or conservatives? * What steps should Blacks immediately take to become a self-sufficient and economically competitive group in America? Dr. Anderson is a bold thinker with exceptional ability to analyze historical patterns. He explains the increase in anti-black expressions since the historic 2016 election and excites a younger generation of blacks with the PowerNomics® concepts he developed as solutions to the race issue. In her PowerNomics Concert Tour, Hip Hop artist Lauryn Hill promoted Dr. Anderson’s work nationally and internationally. Her special concert guests included Nas, Dave Chapelle, Nick Grant and Chronixx and others. Dr. Anderson’s professional experiences include a career at the highest levels of national and state government, managing national political operations, economic and business development, personal entrepreneurship and service in the Marines. In addition to his books and DVDs, his body of work includes Internet classes and his on-line videos have millions of hits. A Black History Reader: 101 Questions You Never Thought to Ask is the work of a master skilled at leading his readers on thought-provoking and emotionally-satisfying journeys. Published by the PowerNomics Corporation of America, Inc, this book will clarify the issue of race and guide and motivate readers to take action to solve a problem that has damaged America for centuries. His books are available at www.powernomics.com.
