Great Businesses Build Great Cities
VISIT Milwaukee gives corporate partners the tools they need to connect their employees to all that Milwaukee offers to help them live, work, and thrive. We are the only organization charged with stewarding Milwaukee’s brand and positioning the city as an amazing place to live, work, and visit. In fact, it was our very own communications team that garnered recognition for Milwaukee in National Geographic’s prestigious 2023 Best Places in the World list.
We are an association of 900+ companies and organizations that bring economic growth and vibrancy to Southeastern Wisconsin. We firmly believe this growth all stems from a visit – when someone comes to Milwaukee for the first time, they will return to again and again. In fact, research shows that more than 67% of recent relocators first experienced their new hometowns as leisure visitors and nearly 50% of travelers find destination marketing somewhat or very influential on their desire to move elsewhere*. So, whether someone first arrives on our shores for business, sports events, or a family vacation, we aim to make their experience so enjoyable that they decided to become a part of our community themselves.
Our Corporate Partners believe in this mission and in doing so benefit from our research, industry expertise, relationships, photo and video library, and print collateral that VISIT Milwaukee creates every day.
Destination Marketing Industry Expertise
Our team travels the country year-round to sell Milwaukee for meetings/conventions/sports and to hone our region’s competitive edge as a destination at industry conferences. We regularly convene our local and state-level stakeholders and elected officials to discuss current issues and future planning. Together with these stakeholders, our team possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise in tourism, hospitality, economic development, and talent attraction. Partners can tap into this expertise any time.
Regional Research and Data
VISIT Milwaukee invests in data tools and research that we share with our partners. We measure how well our marketing and communication efforts are performing, where visitors are originating from, and the top points of interest for them when they arrive. Our sales team calculates the economic impact of events and meetings. We collect regional statistics about the industry’s impact on the well-being of Wisconsin as a whole and the seven-county metro Milwaukee region. We work with our partners so that they can directly benefit from this data in their own strategic planning.
Image and Video Library
We’ve heard from our corporate partners that this benefit is extremely helpful for recruitment. As the steward of Milwaukee’s brand, we constantly update this vast library of high-quality images and b-roll that we make available for our partners to use free of charge.
Social Media and Marketing Content
We have a talented marketing team who are constantly creating attractive content across digital and print channels, reaching millions of locals and visitors each year. Some of these creative promotions include our recent foray into broadcast television with a program called “Good Things Brewing,” which airs in 15 television markets in the Midwest, including Minneapolis and Chicago, as well on digital channels. Other recent promotions include a billboard in Times Square over the New Year’s Eve week championing Milwaukee as a place to visit, in addition to our work to bring in Bravo’s “Top Chef,” which will feature Milwaukee prominently in its 21st season that airs in spring 2024. On top of this, the team creates web content, podcasts, and social media that generates millions of positive impressions of Milwaukee every week.
Corporate Partners can use our creative team’s content on their own channels, tap into the creative team’s expertise, and stock a supply of our Official Visitors Guide magazine for the benefit of your own visitors, recruits and current employees.
Brand Affiliation
Our corporate relationships are not passive; in fact, we regularly find ways to affiliate our companies with our work. As an example, we will assist your community engagement work by connecting you with strong opportunities.
We call our relationships ‘partnerships’ because the value is ongoing and mutually beneficial. We hope you’ll take the opportunity to meet our team at your convenience. We find that the more we’re able to get to know each other, the more we can collaborate to meet our respective goals.
Benefits Exclusive to Corporate Partners
Among our peer cities, VISIT Milwaukee is the only destination marketing organization that works for its corporate partners to deliver original programming created just for them. We developed the experiential Corporate Bus Tour, which showcases hot developments in the area, in addition to an educational and networking event on destination positioning and talent attraction called the Corporate Partner Summit. Our goal is for your team to leave the summit equipped with information and ideas to market Milwaukee to potential employees and engage current employees in all that the community has to offer.
On top of this, our Corporate Partners receive a fullpage Thank You advertisement in each year’s Official Visitor’s Guide with your logo displayed prominently (2024 dist. 200,000) and five tickets to our Annual Meeting and Party with the Partners program where 900+ businesses and VIP leaders convene, connect and celebrate the industry and our collective wins.
